Good Hotel in the madness that is China Town Bangkok. Clean & well appointed. Sky pool was a let down though for the kids. Excellent restaurants.

In the heart of Chinatown, close to the train station. We ordered room for 2+1 (sleep together with younger daughter) and received additional bed for infant without paying additional money. Very spacious rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I had stayed at the hotel before and it was good enough to choose to come back to. The breakfast is nice, the rooms clean and comfortable (although this time we only had a shower, and I prefer a bath, but I didnt specifically request one). I like the pool on the roof. Someone here said it had a breeze,...

The best aspect of this hotel is the helpful staff. The rooms look acceptably clean, although we had one major issue which I'll get to. The worst problem is its location in Chinatown, and the traffic is always happened.

I stayed here in June 09 and the hotel is in a fab position in China Town and very clean, the breakfast is good as well for only 500bhat each. Make sure you visit the revolving bar on 25th floor. You only need to stay for one drink but the view is good. The hotel is in walking distance from...

Staff at this hotel were helpful and polite. Our friend had a birthday during our stay and without any prompting from us the hotel had delivered to her room a lovely birthday cake, decorated with her name and a complimentary card from the manager. The rooms were lovely and looked over the city. The hotel was convenient for all the...

Rooms are not expensive and location is very nice in the center of Chinatown and great views (ask for 20th floor room...) but... beware of the pricing of the extra's. Taking a beer in the bar is triple as expensive (170baht/5 USD) as elsewere, same for dinner. And if you need a transfer to the airport: hotel airport shuttle is...

This has got to be a budget hotel. Booked 4 nights but only stayed the one. Rooms very in need of updating. The pool was very small which was in need of refurbishment and very unsfafe for children. There was also lack of sunbeds but when we were there we never saw people up on the sun deck as it...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
