Neighborhood
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.

The hotel was cheap. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was good there was heaps to pick from, you just had to ask at the grill area as you order it. It was in the heart of China town depending on what you want to do in Bangkok the location may or may not appeal. Catching a Grab or Tuktuk was easy enough out the front. There were great deals at shops close by on electronic products. There is a Starbucks on the bottom floor. Lots of food options in the area. The hotel could do with some genera improvements as it is run down in a number of areas. However it is cheap to stay here.

What a gem in all the hustle and bustle of what is China Town, Bangkok. We had the family room, which had great views of the city, was clean, quiet and very spacious. We had 2 bathrooms and even 2 separate bedrooms. We loved the stay here and would come back if we were ever in the area. The roof top bar was breathtaking and drink prices were reasonable. The pool at the roof top bar was equally fantastic. We even ate at the revolving restaurant on the 25th floor. Prices were reasonable, meals were great and views were outstanding. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We loved our time here and would recommend to anyone.

Worse every year. Very nice ladies at the reception, the rest of the service very unpleasant, even showing their reluctance to perform duties. Rooms average, with a musty smell. Breakfast is average. Perfect location. Very expensive and not very clean restaurant on the 25th floor. In previous years, the service was at a higher level than today.

+1
Stayed at this hotel in Dec 2019 for 3 nights as part of an OAT Discover Thailand trip. The hotel is centrally located in Chinatown. Some on our trip complained that it was in Chinatown, why not in a more Thai location, but I think it was because of location to many of the attractions that we would be seeing. Many places to eat near by also.
