The treatment that I received from the second I arrivied at the Lebua Hotel was nothing short of spectacular! I recommend upgrading to the luxury package which includes a round trip BMW escort to and from the airport, sweets and champagne upon arrival, daily buffet breakfast, and afternoon dinner to the finest restaraunt in town on the 52nd floor that...

This was the first hotel we stayed in and after a 20 hour journey to be met with such luxury was brilliant. Slightly unnerving is the level of service - it's very OTT but you get used to that! What makes the Lebua is the roof terrace and the bars. Even if you don't stay there, try and go up...

As I write this on the 1st May 2007 from room 5508, I’m listening to the next rooms TV and other interesting noises, which I can even tell you what they are watching as it is that clear. This would be the worst hotel, I have ever stayed in for sound proofing issues. It is a Beautiful Hotel, I agree...

Fantastic everything. We took the package including limousine transfer from the airport. We were escorted to a beautiful, brand new Mercedes, given a cold towel and bottle of water from the onboard fridge and then driven to the hotel. We were met by a hostess who escorted us directly to the room and then checked us in while sitting in...

I found the Lebua on Expedia. Their price was about $150 USD, which is about half of what the hotel was charging for a direct booking. However it would have been worth $300. The Lebua occupies the top floors of the State Tower building at the far end of Silom Road near the Shangri La and The Oriental hotels, which...

Without a doubt the best City hotel I've ever stayed in. This deserves to be in the top three of Bangkok hotels, a true first class experience. Everything from check in to booking a table at Sirocco went smoothly with the staff some of the best I've ever seen. The rooms were out of this World and Sirocco and the...

I have just come back from a 5 night stay at the Lebua and it was unbelievable. The Sky Bar is awesome (and the drinks wonderful), the meal my husband and I had in Mezzaluna was the best I've ever had and the buffet breakfast is to die for! The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and welcoming. I cannot...

We checked in from 18th April for 3 nights. We have some complaints: 1. Nails popping out from floorboards injuring my foot. 2. Bathroom door handles that drop out injuring toe. 3. The room's electronic door failed to open, took staff two trips from us to the front desk to get them to come with us to check the door....

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
