Never again! Why? Run-down, old and tired Dinosaur staff, dark, moldy smell in rooms and gangways, scuffed furniture, grubby bathroom, dirty drinking glasses, outdated beddings in a slight grey tone (formerly white), dirty windows with a view on noisy Rajthewee BTS Skytrain Station, no sound proved windows, boring bad breakfast buffet, weak- or non-existing wifi (even when paid), slow check-in/out,... 4 of us stayed here & were pretty impressed. The place is clean & the rooms are a good size. Buffet breakfast is good & the service here is also good. The hotel is in a g good location, with easy access to the BTS. Very good value for the money.

This hotel is connected to a sky train station n is so convenient for travel within Bangkok City. Don't expect a great breakfast in the hotel as it is so so only. Took sky train to Mo Chit station n then took taxi to Don Mueang airport n total time 30 mins! Great place to stay n move around in... More

Comfortable travel, It's very comfortale to go to Suvannaphum Airport by BTS from hotel. There is a linkage way from 2nd floor of hotel to BTS Station. It' so easy to Airport. I like Dinner so much, It's good taste and... More

A an excellent position, you can walk straight into the hotel from the Sky train and just a few blocks to the shopping at Paragon & MBK. The room had that deja-vu feeling, it seemed to be based on the Paramount in New York. Everything is very tired, same dim lighting, dark panels and slow leaking bathroom, Lack of reliable... More

A reasonably priced, well located hotel in downtown Bangkok. Rooms a little tired with some maintenance issues. Convoluted check in and checkout procedures. Breakfast OK but should be better. Reception staff unhelpful sending you in circles rather than resolving issues. Restaurant staff unhelpful. Wi Fi ridiculously expensive if not included I your rate.

This is a grand edifice, 1980s style, hence something of a fading dame. It might once have been five stars but lack of modernisation has let it slip gracefully into the Tourist category. The room was large, carpeted, wallpapered... the bathroom a testimony to marble's enduring significance as an ode to wealth. But all these marks nevertheless are also signs... More

Only one good experience at this hotel - the service from the security personnel in the parking garage. Otherwise: Asked for a room with good view, but ended up with a concrete wall 50 cm from the window, covering all the view. No working Wi-Fi in the room. Staff asking for tips at check-in...

The hotel location is very good since it has direct access to the sky line train and close to Siam square. But the hotel itself is too large with large number of people. The service is poor: the receptionists understood little English there was a poor internet connection in the lobby only non in the rooms. The Aircondition is so... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
