This is not the best hotel we have stayed in! The posted rate for a standard room was β5,616 including taxes, we got it for considerably less than that. At what we paid it represents value for money. Overall it was comfortable but, like so may hotels in Thailand, it is badly in need of refurbishing. The room was a... More

I'm used to staying in 5* hotels, but money was a little tighter for this trip, so I looked for a less expensive option. I hit the jackpot with the St James. It's a small / medium size hotel which offers excellent rooms, with the intimacy and friendliness you get in a small place. The facilities and amenities are limited.... More

Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, beds are hard and old, and the air conditioning system struggles until about 0200 in the morning. I would not trust any rating on here or Agoda. Thai food is ok, but western food is oily and below average.

This hotel is a short walk into soi 26 , right next to double tree hilton. The room is clean , tv was not working but not much of an issue as i only use the room for sleeping and shower. Lobby is nicely furnished. Pool is small and quaint but did not get much sunlight. The famous fishball noodles... More

Stayed here for 5 nights recently and found the hotel to be excellent in all respects. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant provided a good standard of food, both at breakfast and dinner. The WiFi was was fast and reliable. Unfortunately the view from our room (415)... More

We needed to find a hotel and felt comfortable with this area as we had stayed here for a few nights three weeks ago. We wanted a hotel near the Emporium, specifically, so we could return to a spa that we had found on the initial visit. One last massage before returning to reality and life. I searched the available... More

Small Hotel located in sukhumvit 26 with many massage shop lining the streets and near the famous Nana plaza and soi cowboy. First glance from outside was nice. I have stayed at st James for quite a few years over 10 year period. The times I have stayed staff were always great. Rooms clean. And value for money. You are on soi 26 not far from sky train and many old and new shopping centres.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good location, comfortable rooms. Walking distance to the Emporium mall and sky train. Buffet breakfast pretty pricy since it's not included in the room stay. The hotel was very quiet and does have a nice pool.

This is a fairly average hotel. Good location in Bangkok district of Sukhumvit and right next door to the Hilton doubletree your close to the train line and malls. Staff are pleasant, and room was tidy and clean. Bit dated and could do with a fresh lick of paint in the near term. When checking in, we were given a... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
