We started our 2 week holiday with 2 nights at the Amarillo Boulevard, and unfortunately it was a disappointing beginning. From having been told about the quality and value of hotels in Thailand, I was expecting good things. After a very long flight from UK, we were first made to wait half an hour for our room to be ready, surprising...

We were upgraded to this hotel by our first choice as our first choice experienced a water problem. Being familiar with the city, and this being a family excursion, I was not happy about the change. The Amari is a nice hotel and the staff were very helpful and nice. The problem is it's location. Soi 5 is now run-down...

Like an earlier reviewer we also got upgraded after originally booking two nights at the City Lodge on Soi 9. When first told we were being moved I was not too happy but it was only a short walk and when I walked into the lobby on Soi 5 I was very pleased. It's a big airy lobby, the hotel...

We stayed at the Amari Boulevard for a couple of nights each way to and from Australia. It is in an ideal location next to Nana Skytrain Station. Good restaurants near by. Staff pleasant. However the hotel is seriously tired. The air conditioning could not be adjusted and made the room so cold I had to cover my bed in...

Got upgraded to this hotel after originally booking with City Lodge 19. Amari Boulevard is located close to Nana BTS station and there are plenty of tuk-tuks and taxis gathered around waiting for business. There are also a 24 hour supermarket and restaurant located close by. Decor was fairly bland - felt like we could have been anywhere in the...

We've been to Bangkok a number of times now, and this hotel has always been a favorite due to its location, and reasonable standard. The last time we went they even upgraded us as we were a frequent customer..... But with all the other available hotels in the area which are similar in price but provide much better facilities and...

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel as it was booked as part of our flight package. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was included, and there was plenty of it right up until the cut off time. Booked one tour from the hotel which was on time and as per advertisement. Would stay there...

So the scenario was, we live in Bangkok and were planning a night out to celebrate the New Year, we had a blocked pipe at home with waste water flooding our bathrooms, we needed a night off. The Amari is very near where we were going to celebrate with friends so we decided to try and book a room, there...

Stayed here 29th-31st December, was given upgrade due to building work going on, but u could still here it. Was put on a floor which had a whole family group in different rooms and their regard to other guests was non existence! Banging doors, screaming kids, leaving food bags in the hallway. We complained but no action was taken by...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
