I was lucky enough to be able to spend my last days of vacation here and felt very welcomed (compared to other places in Bangkok where i paid much more and just felt like a number). Showed up with a big smile and request for early check-in and was answered with a even bigger smile and room next to the swimming pool (just step outside/around the corner and escape the smog of town/even if it can still be heard a little bit;) Ladies at Reception were helpful when i asked for a souvenir for a friend and let me jump into the pool after check-out (flight departed late). Bed moved in the room (not what you think) so check if the castors are locked. They take security/hygiene serious (even oxygen at pool area, temperature/desinfection provided and always fresh towels around) The Duchess is not the newest hotel but definitely one of the best deals that i had, Thank you!

Checking in for a day use, work from hotel is not such a bad idea. Love the reception here, short, precise and helpful. She made same day booking possible even 1 hour before check in. Was just there for a day use, thought THB 1000 is a bit too much (10am-5pm) but the room is totally worth it!! The hotel is very convenient located with supermarket within walking distance. Good deal for a place to work as room is big and comfortable. WiFi work well and can connect up to 2 devices, instant coffee, drinking water, and pantry area is functioning well. TV - bad signal and remote doesn't work. Aircon work well, 2 separated unit for living room and bedroom. Sofa is old and very difficult to get up if you have bad knees. Mattress is firm, not so soft, pillows are ok. Bedsheet is dated with few spots and smell funny. Room is clean enough but don't look too close, dust in furniture and sofa. If you are allergic, bring medicine. Water pressure is ok, hot water works, bathtub is good. The bathroom amenities smell really nice, love them. Parking is a nightmare. Small and narrow space. Hallway and lift is very hot, maybe they off the AC to cut cost. Room is not sound proof, bring the earplug if you plan to get some sleep. Key card is needed to get to your floor, temp control at entrance, alcohol gel provided. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely go back when the swimming pool is open 🙂

Housekeeping staff should check all lights and toilets are functioning each day rather than waiting for guests to complain. Ample water bottles supplied each day. Staff are very welcoming and resolved each request effectively.

I stayed here for 4 days and I have to say that I will definitely look into staying here again. The staff are very friendly and polite, the room was lovely and spacious. The hotel is also in a fairly central part of Bangkok, in a high-end area. Many bars and restaurants. The BTS is also less than a kilometre away which was suitable for me, as I use that to get around in Bangkok.
All in all, I had a wonderful stay and would love to return on my next visit. I would also like to give a special mention to the lovely front desk staff who made the check-in process smooth and made sure I had everything I needed. Additionally, the housekeeping maid who cleaned my room did an amazing job, even going as far to fold all of my clothes neatly by the bed. Thank you so much.

This hotel is wonderful for its location, room and facilities. The location is amazing, only a few minutes walk from BTS Chidlom, very center of downtown Bangkok. The surroundings are nice and give a modern city vibe with many restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms are spacious and cozy with their warm-colored interior, making it feels like home with complete amenities. Can simply do proper cooking with the big kitchen with stoves, hood, oven, microwave, sinks and a big fridge. For leisure, they have a nice gym space with many equipment, together with sauna and pool. Very nice ambient to relax.. The food at the restaurant is great too! All of the staff is very nice, friendly and attentive! Giving five stars for the value and quality of stay!

Stay way from this hotel. From my experience staying at 4-5 hotels in Langsuan road, this one is the worst hotel in this area.
1. I bought 24hr stay package, but the front staff told me the check-out time is 12 pm. She said no such a package sold. I didn't bother anyway because it wasn't pleasant to spend my time at this hotel.
2. The wall is so thin, you can hear surrounding noises from everywhere.
3. The water heater in my room didn't work and it was almost midnight. A technician came to fix it WITHOUT wearing mask plus cigarette smell. He couldn't fix it so they offered me to change a room. No apologies from the staffs. No one helped on my stuffs when moving to a new room.
4. There was a water leak problem and water heater wasn't stable in the new room. I've had enough with this hotel.

The room is perfect: quiet, clean, with comfortable bed, the bathroom is equipped with all necessary amenities, tea, coffee sachets and bottled water are at your disposal. The only thing that puzzles me every time when I stay in this hotel: there is no hair dryer socket in the bathroom near the mirror, which would be more comfortable to dry your hair seeing yourself in the mirror. Instead I always had to dry my hair somewhere in the room where there was a socket, but no mirror. )) One more thing: the hotel definitely needs renovations as its corridors and elevators look shabby (and it is too dark in the elevators too, and floor buttons are hard to see). And there are swimming pool renovations that have been lasting for more than a year (!), and breakfast is not offered as the restaurant is also under renovations longer that a year. This all is quite sad, as the hotel location is great (just a 5- min walk to Chit Lom BTS station), and if it offered a full range of services I am sure there wouldn't be end of the guests! Anyway I am still remaining your loyal customer hoping that the Duchess Hotel and Residence will see its best days again.

Unfortunately I can not give more than 2 stars rating this time due to facilities. Perhaps bad timing with renovation noise during the day, pool did not seem well maintained and bar attached to the hotel closed. Room was great and reception/housekeeping staff attentive but staying in during the day was difficult due to noise. Perhaps next time when construction is over I will review again....

This hotel is on good location in Bangkok, on Langsuan rd. Although not on the BTS train line which is on Sukhumvit rd. You could walk about 10 mins to Chitlom station. Next to here is newly open mall “Velaa” that has few good cafe’ and restaurants and Villa supermarket. This hotel is also very near with 5 mins walking distance to Lumphini park, the most famous public park in BKK.
