#182 of 1,977 Specialty lodging in Bangkok
Arom d Hostel is located in the heart of Rattanakosin Island, the historic center of Bangkok. Our guests will enjoy the relaxation and liveliness of Ta Tien neighborhood, the main Chinese market and shipping port on the bank of Chao Phraya River since the rise of Rattanakosin in the 18th century. Among the major tourist and cultural sights; Wat Po, the Temple of Reclining Buddha, is right on the opposite side of the road; the Grand Palace, Sanam Luang and the Flower Market are just minutes away on foot; while Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is only 5 minutes across the Chao Phraya River by ferry boats. In the cultural preserved building erecting here for a century, all the guest rooms of Arom d Hostel are well renovated to retain the reminiscence of the colonial period along with the modern comfort to enrich the living experience of our guests. The stunning unique view of Wat Po from the guest rooms is truly memorable.

The unpleasant man we were greeted with on arrival was fine, we can deal with that but some issues from the room are horrendous.. 1. the bed- by far the worst thing I have ever slept on. it is hard as a rock (no exagerarion), 2. the noise- some of the windows actually have gaps where they don't even close so you can hear all the street noise. on top of that the whole room is paper thin and you hear every noise from every angle, 3. the light- I know not every place has black out blinds but are curtains that actually cover too much to ask. These 3 things will ensure you don't get a single ounce of rest on your busy trip. Also had the maid open our door after we shouted we were asleep and when we woke up the door was actually open. i wasnt amused as i was only wearing small shorts and no top or blanket (i'm female). Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. i dont say this lightly but resting in such a busy city is a must.

I loved this place. I had the Jade room and it was lovely. Staff super helpful both before and during stay. Super convenient for Wat Pho, Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Simply fabulous experience and I highly recommend it.

The room was so cute and adorable, it exceeded our expectations! The location was absolutely amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better view. The staff was friendly and they did their jobs. Drivers weren't super sure on the exact location, so it did take a little time and leg work to find one who knew where it was. Great location in terms of walking, a lot of things to see that you can definitely walk to.

We stopped there for a quick late breakfast that was very good. The staff was very professional and honest: gave me back something I forgot in the toilet and gave us the correct change while we weren't paying attention to it...thank you very much!

We reached the hotel early in the morning. We didn’t reserve a room before, but we didn’t have a problem finding one. The stuff was very friendly and helped us with all our concerns during our stay. Our room was small, but very sweet I actually really liked the style of the bathroom. It was the perfect choice for us after our long flights. And the tiny rooms holding us together after we didn’t see each other for long. For us couldn’t have been better according to style, price and service of the property. Also the surrounding of the hotel was beautiful with all those temples and little shop and cafes.
