The Siam is one of those rare places which you often hear people rave about but it does not come across as overrated because it really is a gem. We're talking about stepping into another realm the minute the uber driver dropped us off at the front door. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and of course, very fluent...

The Siam is: super stylish in a chic understated way; architecturally inspiring; the height of luxury in a casual comfortable environment with world-class food and amenities including a very sexy spa and a staff that is pure perfection. I second everything positive that other reviewers have said, but write mostly to acknowledge the amazing staff at this place. A friend...

I have always heard of The Siam in my travels to Thailand, so for my big 50 birthday I had my agent Virtuoso book it so I would have all the special amenities. We arrived from the airport after a 30 min ride, 500bht - funny you wind around and get to this small entrance to the hotel. For VIP...

A treasure in Bangkok with a tranquil oasis feel. Service is top notch with attention to detail yet not obtrusive. Elegant art decor in the hotel gives you a homey feel and the friendly staff and excellent cuisine made our visit a very special one

Shaping up to be THE hotel in BKK. Great service, well sized rooms and great architecture. I cant say any bad things abt the hotel - be it the software or hardware. One has to stay here themselves and appreciate that this is what great hotels is all about! If there was a 6 stars, this hotel is one of...

Stayed for 2 nights last month (although ended up more like 1 and a half due to Gulf Air's 7hr delay!) and thoroughly enjoyed it- we had the entry level room which is still huge and very well appointed. The place exudes style and class and is very different in feel to other luxury Bangkok properties - we have stayed...

A walk through the lush interior courtyard and warm welcome at reception with cold, scented towels, homemade passion fruit juice, and the manager, Nick, I only wished my stay was going to be longer than two nights. While the suites are large and comfortable, I especially loved the unobtrusive butler service and private speedboat (what a unique way to experience...

I have traveled extensively across the globe, and have been fortunate to stay in some of the world's best hotels, and I cannot express how impressed I was by The Siam. I almost don't want to write this review, because I want this hotel to remain a special secret! I grew up in a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs, and...

Within the central part of the hotel there is water, palms and ferns that center each of the suites offering a calm and tranquil inner sanctum. Colonial inspired yet modern design is intermixed with nostalgic and romantic pieces from the past making the property ever so visually appealing - a surprise awaits on every turn of the eye. Staying in Dusit

Neighborhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
