We stayed here for a few nights in November and would not stay anywhere else in Bangkok when we go back. It really is a special place. The manager (Nick) or his team know who you are and cannot do enough to make the stay perfect. The room was spotless, elegant and comfortable. Food is excellent and the hotel has it’s own boat which will take guests up to the busy part of Bangkok or just to see the sights along the river. The owner’s private collection of cinematic, musical and other artefacts makes the hotel unique. If you are going to Bangkok and want to stay somewhere special where you will be looked after choose here.
A little Jem box inside the hustle and bustle of crazy Bangkok life. Set outside the center the hotel has a convenient boat that will bring you close to the heart. Hotel arranged a private tour of city which was great but the only problem was we couldn’t wait to get back to our beautiful little oasis of a hotel. I wish I had more time to explore the collections in the hotel as it truly is a Museum in itself. The owners have collected, antiques and beautiful art from all over and it’s on display throughout the hotel. There’s also a cinema, pool and two wonderful restaurants. We were assigned a Butler upon check in and he is there to help you with anything you need. We were upgraded upon check into the pool villa and it was so special. It is definitely worth the return. I would definitely come back to this hotel and definitely go back to Bangkok. this hotel is one of the highlights on my trip. If you’re looking for a small boutique hotel that caters to your every need and makes you feel like you are in a tropical oasis and not in a bustling city then this is the place for you. There’s also a Jim Thompson boutique on premises built in traditional Thai home style right on property.…
Stayed there for 2 nights, one of the best hotel I stayed in and a must in Bangkok. Decor and ambient are magical and the breakfast is great. The service is outstanding and the personal touch from the manager Nick adds to the great experience RSTMN 9/10
This gorgeous, pleasant hotel is a wonderful place to relax and reset after a long day. Nick, the hotel proprietor, is very friendly and made us feel welcome when we arrived, and we were soon showed to our breathtaking rooms. The beds are really comfortable and the shower pressure in the shower is amazing! Everything in this hotel is decorated with fascinating antiques and assorted knickknacks, which adds to the charm. This hotel also has a library, a gym, a screening room, and two fabulous restaurants. Breakfast is complimentary and a la carte. I wish I had used the large antique bathtub. Each room comes with a cellphone that you can take with you while in Bangkok so you can call the hotel in case of emergency. The hotel also offers complimentary boat taxi service up and down the river so you can explore other parts of the city. The riverside bar is really fun!…
We spent 3 nights at the Siam during our honeymoon in October and had an amazing stay. Our butler, Bright, was so helpful and really helped make our time in Bangkok extra special. The hotel itself is beautiful and the spa is really great too. It’s wonderful to have access to the boat too since traffic can be so bad in Bangkok.
From the planning phase of our visit to the departure, we had the BEST stay at the Siam. The staff is amazing, helpful and also not pushy when you want some solitude. The food was ridiculously good and for a location of this level, the prices were more reasonable than other 5* hotels we’ve been to. The room was fantastic and beautiful all at once. A most comfortable bed, strong lovely shower and great amenities. The hotel complimentary boat rides were key given Bangkok traffic and they were able to secure several hard to get restaurant reservations for us. We hope to return and think you should go here now!!!!
Probably the nicest urban hotel I've every stayed in. Not in the middle of stuff for tourists, but it's on the river and they have a boat that can take you to the different piers, which is a lovely way to get around for temples and evenings out. Calm, spacious property. Filled with cool antiques. Huge rooms. Attentive service. Lovely bar/restaurant area on the water.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an incredible time. The service from the moment we walked in was top notch. The water taxi service was both helpful and fun. The butlers make you feel welcome right away and are great at creating game plans each day to see everything on your list in Bangkok, and then some!
Never before have I wanted to personally email the hotel manager to express gratitude for the quality of a stay. The Siam is a living museum, with a world-class spa, and the most hospitable staff you will meet in Thailand. Can't recommend The Siam enough. The hotel's reputation is absolutely deserving. Do not hesitate to book a stay here, and in fact, book an extra night and spend a day in the Opium Den Spa. Insider tip, order a cocktail before hopping on the hotel's boat for your travel down the river.
We could not imagine a return to Bangkok that did not include a stay at The Siam! We started our stay with spa services which were EXCELLENT, and it only got better from there! The property is all but flawless, the service is spectacular (we miss you, Bright!), the GM is hands on, accessible and incredibly responsive (we miss you too, Nick!), and breakfast offerings are second to none. Bangkok was the start of our southeast Asian adventure, and The Siam truly set the standard.
