Do you want to experience the real lifestyle of Thai people but to stay in a place as comfortable as a luxury hotel in a much cheaper price? LooG Choob is a perfect answer for you. Loog Choob is a unique designed homestay, renovated from shophouses, a common residence for Bangkokian. Our well-furnished facilities definitely make you feel the most relaxed after roaming around the busy Bangkok. It is in a quiet residential area with a view of canal side. Local markets, foodshops, and shophouses are plenty in the neighborhood. Moreover, the major attraction tourist sites are very easily to be reached by walk or taxi. "Feel like a 5 star hotel with lots of family touches."

We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the suites. The decor and furnishings are modern and chic. We had a very large bedroom with aircon and white linens. The bed was super comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was huge with a free standing bath, 2 sinks in a vanity area with lots of space to put toiletries, separate area for toilet, and a large separate shower with rain shower. The towels are soft and fluffy and quality products are in the bathroom in large bottles. The bedrooms have sliding doors onto a deck with a table and chairs, which looks onto a water feature. There is also a beautiful large living and dining area and also a small kitchen area with complementary quality coffee, pastries, cereal, milk , jam, Nutella, peanut butter, toaster kettle and microwave. The utility has a washing machine and powder and an iron and ironing board. A home from home. The owner, Su is so friendly and helpful and we used her restaurant recommendations which were excellent. Su also helped when my husband had a issue with his sandals and got some glue for us .
Next time we come to Bangkok we will stay here again. It is a great location for old Bangkok . We are travelling for 9m so it was great to be able to wash all our clothes here , can highly recommend this homestay

For a price cheaper than most hotel rooms we enjoyed the Junior Suite, essentially half the 5th floor, stunning bedroom, bathroom, private outside area and a large eating/lounge space. Supposedly this last was shared with the other room on the floor but we never saw anyone. Sometimes pictures can lie but in is case they are spot on.

Good location, easy to get from BTS and to the major sites by Grab but equally really enjoyed being in a local area with markets nearby. You could even host a dinner party here as it is fully equipped.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff helped me with pricing my Lao visa. I've stayed in many very nice places over the years (with the help of TA) but suspect this is going to be very hard to match, an exceptional find.

Nipon (hope I spelled that right) has done everything right. The room is clean, comfortable, quiet and a joy to come back to after a long day in hectic Bangkok. He was always around ready to help in any way and always had a smile. His restaurant suggestions were perfect and his niece was just as helpful as Nipon. There is a fridge in the room and a community fridge in the reception where you can buy cold beers. Outside the room is a wonderful "kitchen" area where you can make coffee or warm up food in the micro. This is one of the nicest places we stayed at on our 50 day trip thru Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

This place was such a good find. Within walking distance or a short cheap taxi ride away from all the main attractions but far enough away that you’re not in the thick of it. We stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to Bangkok. The rooms are lovely, modern and clean. Very comfortable bed!
The staff were extremely kind and helpful with anything we asked them. Nice coffee and tea making facilities and breakfast treats left for us every morning. The roof top terrace has a beautiful view of the city skyline, especially at night. Would definitely recommend this place and if we ever come back to Bangkok we will stay again.

Wonderful architecture at this family homestay. the inside of the building was designed by the brother of the owner, a great architect if you ask me. Big and comfortable room, a great bathroom with a freestanding tub, a nice shower and a terrace outside with a table and chairs and a great view of the city. The kind owner helped us with tips for walking around the neighbourhood, got us a grabtaxi twice, and was really nice to talk to. there was a livingroom in between the two upper bedrooms, where we could make ourselves breakfast, there was a little something ready for us every morning, but no official breakfast. Coffee, tea and cookies were always available. It was a comfortable stay with an upmarket feel. Well worth the price. O, we were early, around 11.30, but that was no problem. Recommended!!!

We were so pleased with everything, staff were so pleasant and helpful, the rooms were beautiful and nothing was an issue .Staff were so helpful and we were made to feel part of the family. Finding this hotel rescued our Bangkok stay and I can't recommend it enough. An oasis, a gem. Thank you for everything.

It's so great seeing a Quant place being ranked so hi..

Number 6 out of 1000, and we'll earned..cool common areas, nice coffee bar attached.. and the alley behind had a few typical live in shops..

In our case, the distance to kick boxing [ rajadamnern] was the deciding factor on our stay

The word "homestay" may mislead some people into thinking of a hostel like experience. Loog Choob is far from this. Elegant, tastefully decorated, private in every way, Loog Choob is more like getting to stay in your friend's posh flat while they are away. I am torn between telling everyone about this hidden gem or keeping it a secret so that it doesn't become "touristy" and commercialized. However, I think the gracious hosts will never let that happen.
Situated in a local neighborhood, you get to experience Bangkok residential life, away from the commercial hustle and bustle and tourists. Within walking distance there are plenty of street food vendors, a local market and several 7 Elevens in case you need essentials.
The family owners are very hospitable yet unintrusive. If you need their guidance or advice they are more than willing to help in any way. Yet if you are looking for privacy, be assured that you will have a peaceful, restful time.
The rooms are perfect and the entire house has been decorated with attention to every detail.
The 4th floor has 3 twin rooms, a small kitchenette and a sitting area. The 5th floor has two suites, a large dining and sitting area with large screen TV and a kitchenette. Each room has a balcony where you can sit out. The house is non-smoking however there is a lovely roof top hang out area for those who smoke or just want to socialize with the rest of their group, perhaps even sunbathe.
There is an elevator so there is no need to worry about carrying your luggage up flights of stairs.
Although they do not serve any meals, each room has a fridge and the kitchenette has a microwave and you can request an electric stove and frying pan if you need it. Besides the local roadside food stalls, you can also order home delivery from several major fast food restaurants (McDonalds, pizza etc.). The nearby 7 Eleven has milk, juice etc.
In reality Loog Choob is comparable to an expensive hotel. They service your rooms each day, change your linens, provide bedroom slippers, shampoo, soap, bottled water etc. There is a TV and DVD in every room and electronic key cards for each room.
There is even a washing machine which is most helpful for families, or if you've been on the road for awhile or just want to pack super light. You can hang your clothes to dry on your balcony and they usually dry overnight.
If you are a couple or single and worried about being bothered by families, rest assured, you will feel like you are the only ones there. While we were there, there was a large family group on the floor above yet we never heard them.
You are able to come and go at any time with your personal key card, so you can stay out late without feeling like someone is waiting up for you. Completely safe, the entrance and elevator are only accessible to guests with a key card.
This trip was a family vacation and Loog Choob was exactly right for us. Yet, I would not hestitate to go back and stay as a couple or alone.
My only regret was actually not having enough downtime to just relax and enjoy Loog Choob itself.

Loog Choob offers beautiful rooms and the living room is very pleasant to unwind after a busy day in Bangkok. The rooftop terrace offers a fantastic panorama of the city.

It is well situated: not in the historic center but only a 10-minute taxi ride (50 baht) away from the Grand Palace.

In addition, the owners i/ staff are very helpful: you get really good tips and they immediately tries to give you all the answers you need.

It was unfortunate that our 4-bed room had two small cots, which were really too short for adults.
It is a pity that you do not get breakfast.

The rooms are very expensive. We spent more in the 3 nights we slept here then in the 2 weeks before. That's why I was a little disappointed about the lack of breakfast and that I had to sleep in a bed that was too short for me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Loog Choob! My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights during May--when the city is hot enough to singe the eyebrows off your face! Loog Choob was a very welcoming respite from the city and the heat. With only 5 rooms, spread over 5 floors, you feel like you're staying in an exclusive mansion in Bangkok's old town area. One of the best things, aside from its space, design, and amenities--are its thoughtful caretakers. They are wonderfully helpful and caring. This was our first time to Bangkok and we had a lot of questions. They went above and beyond to help answer all of our questions, even speaking with my colleagues ahead of my visit so they knew where to pick me up for a meeting. There are tons of street food vendors and markets in the area, seemingly open all day and night long. You won't go hungry! The property itself includes some really fantastic perks including the rooftop area (which was too hot to enjoy during the daytime during our visit), free use of washing machine (drying rack in room), mini kitchen on each floor with teas, coffee, cereals, and breads in the morning, frozen meals & ice cream for sale for a small cost, great wifi connection, elevator!, and much more. I would definitely stay there if I'm in Bangkok again. What are you waiting for? Experience a bit of old town! If you want to avoid the modern glitz of high rises, you must check this place out!

For BTS: Ratchathewi or National stadium station. For subway: Hualumphong station.

Yes, we can arrange an airport pick up. It costs 800 THB/trip. Getting a public taxi is cheaper and also easy. You can print a map from our website to show to a taxi driver to bring you here. Intercontinental Hotel is around 5 kms. away. By taxi, it should take around 20 minutes.

Yes, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The historic and cultural center can be reached by walking or with taxi or tuck tuck (5-10 min). Chinatown and flower market also 10-15 min by taxi. During rush hour it does take more time to travel.

There was nobody on duty after 10.00pm and residents use a rear entrance after that time which opens using the room card. I would suggest you contact the hotel urgently to see if they can make alternative arrangements if you are arriving during the night otherwise you'll probably have to wait until staff come on duty in the morning.
