Great landing place/launch pad, just a short walk outside the main tourist area, so a little quieter, which we appreciated. Taxi on meter from Suvarnabhumi Airport, was 200 Baht. Room was small but clean and functional, and very cheap - especially for central Bangkok. Lots of vegan/vegetarian restaurants within 10 minutes walk, and the Palace, temples etc about another 25...

We stayed in a triple room for three nights and it was beautiful. There was so much space and even a little seating area which was an added bonus. Prior to arrival the staff were fantastic at communicating with me and answering all of my questions. Upon arrival they were just as polite and helpful and made us all feel...

The air conditioner was weak in the first room I stayed in, but I was able to switch to a different room with better a/c. Both rooms were cozy and comfortable. The best part was the friendly, helpful staff. They spoke decent English and helped me get around Bangkok. They wrote notes in Thai to give to taxi and bus...

I stayed for nearly a week and I liked the double room with private bathroom and little desk very much. It is located north of koasan rd and 70thb by cab from siam (no traffic). You can enjoy authentic Thai street food for 30-50 thb a meal around the corner. Minus: no laundry service boring breakfast

These are my first days in bangkok, and i'm not yet used to the accomodation standarts of this country. so, to avoid any biased comments, i'll just write down what i've seen... the place seems to be secure enough. it has an h.i. accredited sign, which comforts me a bit. (i got robbed the first and the last time i...

Staying in Dusit

Neighborhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
