I love Sofitel and the vibrant atmosphere they created in all their hotels. However this So Sofitel property in Bangkok this time was a dark and soulless place. Having booked the water theme suite we thought we would feel special but it was not the vibrant place we been before. Staff did what they could for sure but it seems all to much budgeted like an Ibis hotel! As a welcome present we were given a facemask and a antibacterial gel. (Come on Sofitel! I am a platinum card member here.) How welcome would you feel when you were given antibacterial gel? What to expect? A welcome drink voucher for the bar that was closed. A free minibar but only filled with a few soft drinks and sparking water. The suite came with the executive lounge access, but who wants to sit in an empty lounge no snacks and no drinks, no other guests just us two all alone? We were offered a drink and some snacks. I asked a glass of wine. She brought a bottle of Outstation Shiraz (Australia) over that was on sale at online stores for ThB 379 a bottle. Sofitel you must be joking to offer me this! I just had a taste but I could not enjoy and asked for a different drink.. The snacks we were given were cakes (from afternoon tea) and microwaved pieces of fish. Nothing that made us feel special. Tell me general manager of So Sofitel is this the standard we can now expect in all Sofitel hotels as a Platinum card all over the world? How would YOU feel as a guest in your own Hotel? You are the ONLY one who can change things at this property, nobody else can. This hotel is changed in a dark and soulless place. The water themes were turned off, the floors are dark. We were told that from the 200 rooms only 2 rooms were occupied including us. I am glad we only booked for 1 night as our stay made us feel very very sad! We checked out the next day and went to the JW Marriott across. A busy vibrant place to be. Their lounge is full of people, the restaurant is busy. It apparently it can be done. Sofitel please change back because I hate to see you in this poor shape! You can do it! Sorry but our stay with you was not good at all!…

I has booked this restaurant surprising my bestie'BD this is so amazing !! We got warm wekcome and treat like queenB lol Thank you Red Oven and So-Kung, So-Jayda ,So-Kie, especialy So-Pan who serve us warmly anx took about 100 photo for us when ever we ark for. Recomment you guy visit once, guarntee you would love So So So much !!! 😀
The hotel's decoration is stylish and quite unique in the city. You can post to IG in every steps you walked into the hotel. Good service from hotel staff since the check in and out with COVID protection standard. Comfort stay with great city view, I got the room with Park view which quite great! Easy to go to must-go-place around BKK with MRT just 5 min walk. My boys totally enjoyed our staycation even we stay in BKK. Highly reco for Red Oven Brunch with tons of selection and ChocoLAB on the G floor for the choco lover like me :) Definitely will come back!!!
