Staff are as lovely and helpful as always but over the years we have stayed here the building is beginning to show some age and be in need of refurbishment. Pool definitely needs new filtration system - milky water not appealing.
I enjoyed the hi-tea and it's delicious. The day we visited was my family’s birthday and they made a birthday plate. Their service was great, too. I want to visit again while we’re in Bangkok. Thank you very much.
This review is to summarise a disappointing experience we had at SO/ Bangkok on August 6th. On July 31st, I booked a So Lofty room with a Night Suite Upgrade (NSU) for an anniversary with my girlfriend. While placing my booking, I clearly specified the occasion of our stay as well as the other preferences (i.e., view over Lumphini Park which was a key reason I booked room at the hotel on the first place, also the check-in/check-out time). On August 5th I checked-in online, mentioning once again our arrival time (before noon), the occasion of our visit and the preference for the room. On August 6th, we were on our way to the hotel when we received an SMS informing us that the room is ready for our arrival. This was approximately at 12pm. When we arrived at the property around 12:15pm, we were directed to check-in at the hotel lounge. Having checked in online earlier, we expected a quick check-in process that in the end lasted over 30 minutes. This is when the person in charge of check-in informed us that the room will not be ready before 3pm. As we are based in Bangkok, we were surprised the hotel did not call us earlier to give us a heads up and save us from waiting 3 hours at the hotel. Moreover, seemed like all of the requests and details shared during the reservation were ignored by the team. Furthermore, we asked if a late check-out until 5pm would be possible the next day. The team informed us they can’t confirm it at that point of time and if this will be granted, it would be until 4pm maximum (whereas the perks letter for Accor members shared during check-in stipulated 5pm, subject to availability). At this moment, we asked to see the General Manager to explain the situation but we were informed he was not available. We decided to wait at the lounge before we can have our room at 3pm. At 1:30pm, a person in charge of the lounge came to meet us and proposed to visit (?) So Suite room (lower category than what we booked). We also learned that the room we reserved is not available at this date. Following this information, we began to loose patience and we asked - once again - to see General Manager or a person in charge while he is away. At this time, we were introduced to the Director of Business Development. After explaining the situation, she understood our frustration and tried to explore alternatives - including moving our reservation to an alternative date (August 20), unfortunately the desired room was not available at that date. We therefore decided to cancel our reservation and request a full refund. As an Accor Diamond Member, I’m staying 150+ nights per year at Accor properties around the world, and I can assure that the experience we had yesterday was the worst we had at any Accor hotel. Lack of communication between the team members, and professionalism of the team is definitely below the standard expected from the hotel category and price range. We spent 5 hours at the hotel, discussing the issue with different members of the staff and wasting the day of our anniversary on trying to resolve the problem. Absolutely unacceptable and uncomfortable experience, especially for a customer loyal to the group for years.…
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Petch for his great support during my stay at Sofitel SO. I had a issue with my stuff which left in the rental van. Upon hearing my issues, he called to the van driver and arranged to get those stuff back. Without his kind support, I may have to spend few hours to figure it out how to get it back. Nice atmosphere and view of Lumpini garden. Staffs especially Khun Arm is hospitable and attentive. There is a wide variety of drinks and snacks available. The free flow drinks are excellent. You can try each one of them. Freshly squeezed orange juices are my favorite.
We’ve had a set of afternoon tea here at Mixo 9th floor. The whole experience was great. Mixo got one of the best views of Lumpini park. The afternoon tea set was huge! It also came with free flow drinks. The hospitality by staff especially Arm & X was 5 stars. Highly recommend.

The staff (Arm,EX) friendly and the view is good!! ^^The dessert is delicious and the atmosphere of the hotel is good. I want to come back again ! The tea is delicious I think it'll be an unforgettable memory in Bangkok
