Its a aging hotel, it's tidy but not clean. A quick renovation and deep clean and this would be back to 5 star hotel again. The pool was green during our stay, and getting more intense each day. But the pool itself is in a nice location. The staff were great and very helpful. The aircon broke during the middle of the night and the staff were very prompt with trying to fix it, and gave us a room upgrade when it was unfixable within the hour. They also were very friendly during check in.

ive asked for a smooking room , first of all the elevator service area has no air condition not even the elevators, the 28th floor smell was really bad, the furniture was damgaed (specially lights most was not working at all ) also the room smell was so ugly , we checked the beds as soon as we got in and the pilows was so dirty , reception staff were friendly but they are always late and most of the time no one pick up the phone , to be honest its over rated and it does not worth it at all .

No staff at the front desk when we walked in. Check in took 15 minutes. Door didn’t work. Staff said it does work. Staff try to shoulder the door down and give up. Staff put us in a small room while they solve the problem. 3 hours later and the problem is still not resolved, so we wait for the staff to take another 15 minutes to sort out the issue. Staff give us the exact same room as before and say the engineer has fixed the door (after telling the other staff in Thai that it’s the same room with the same problem - they don’t know I speak Thai) Door is still not working so we had to shoulder barge it and it pops open. Room is neat but not clean, dusty floors and furniture and extremely dated. Water pressure is pathetic. Tv doesn’t work, well it turns on, but there is no channel or signal on any source. Currently lying on the bed after spending 4000 baht/night for a five star experience with my wife on our first vacation in three years. I am embarrassed in telling my wife I’m treating her, disappointed that I’ve wasted my money and will take any chance I get to sway friends, family and or strangers to not go anywhere near this hotel. …

My partner and I arrived at this hotel late at night after travelling over 7 hours, the reception area was nice so we were hopeful…. We were mistaken, the room was very old, it was VERY DIRTY, VERY SMELLY, water damage throughout the whole apartment, mould in aircon, I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. I WOULD ADVISE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!!!! I would never leave a comment this bad but I think you should be aware before attending. I really don’t understand the good comments regarding this hotel.

Just back from 6 nights here. I really have to compliment the hotel and all their staff. They were so welcoming and friendly. Travelling with 2 small children we were apprehensive but the hotel was excellent, food delicious and had great vibes. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Bangkok. The pool area is fab and the roof bar was unreal. There was a female dj on one of the nights and she was EXCELLENT - Elza Noey. The place was buzzing the night she was playing, I would definitely travel back here for a big birthday next year on roofbar with friends and family. Fab spot.

Best value for money in town. I was a bit apprehensive going in reading the reviews, but I had 6 adults and two kids staying for this trip so I had no real choice. The rooms are more like apartment big, vs hotel big. Okay so this is clearly not a 5 star setup hotel but it has the best value for money ratio in bangkok. I mean I paid only 180A$ (120 US$) a night for a 2 bed skyline suite. Come on!!! Breakfast for 3 people was included. I mean the breakfast for four should be worth 100$ at least. Reading the old reviews, people have complained and they have listened. — egg station: is great now and the guy serving knows his eggs and greets people warmly — coffees at breakfast: come on time. Not the best, all 5-star bfasts in Thailand have been machine coffees for me so far (yet to see a barista coffee) — inconsistent room cleaning? my room got towel changes and cleaned every day. I just put the make my room switch on every time I left for the day — room in front had traffic? In peak hours yes, but that is the story for all of bangkok — pool and gym is good. And you can order grab for all of your grocery and dinner needs — only fault: in room dining is not diverse enough and no baby meals menu…

Had a really nice stay, rooms were clean and nice, bed was comfortable. Pool and Gym were great. Breakfast was also good. Only downside was the check in was extremely slow (took 30 mins). Sky lounge restaurant was also delicious but very expensive: however the views were spectacular.

Booked one bedroom suite . Upon arrival at 13.30 were told check-in time is 14.00 . Had to wait with all bags 1 hour in the lobby. Room itself was clean but furniture and sanitair in the bathroom very outdated with rust stains and dirty carpet in the bedroom . You could easily see wear and tear here and there. In a 6 day time only once bed linnen were changed but towels every day . Balcony floor was never cleaned and it looked very dusty . Overall not 5 star experience and far behind previous owner of the hotel Anantara chain. Breakfast service was very basic and the food choice very limited . What about placement of coffee machines for guest use ?? Took ages to get cup of coffee ordering it from the wait staff. Service from the staff in the hotel was good . I would give the hotel rating of 3+ stars . …

The highlights are definitely the swimming, pool, the gym, and the breakfast area around the pool. These facilities are great. The downside is the service, poorest ever! First hotel I ever stayed that does not have a hotel directories booklet in room. Called at the front desk and got hung up about eight out of ten times. The front desk officer later replied: “ sometimes we are just too busy to get the call”. Perfect. Extremely terrible housekeeping. Bottled water was not replenished the first day of housekeeping, and the second day, there was no towel at all in either of the bathrooms (stayed in the two-room suite). Housekeeping did not clean the dressing table or the kitchen sink even once throughout the 5-day stay.

The JC Kevin is well located about 10 minutes walk from Chong Nonsi BTS Skystrain which makes getting around much easier as the roads outside can sometimes be very slow by car. The staff are all very helpful. I booked a Suite and the room was large . I had a living / dining room area and balcony and bedroom area (with a huge bed) and a huge bathroom. There was also a kitchenette. I was very happy with it. My room was quiet and I would definitely book it again. The only downside to my stay was the slightly chaotic breakfast which had plenty of choice but it always seemed to be very busy and as yet post pandemic they do not seem to have enough staff. That was also a common problem with the other hotels I stayed at in Thailand and not unique to the JC Kevin. If you want to sunbathe it's best get out round the pool in the morning as by the afternoon most of the pool area is in the shade. All in all I think the JC Kevin represents excellent value for money. …
