We have just left our 5 day stay at Baan Noppawong. Great location, walked to many sites, one block off major road for taxi, tuk tuk and Uber pickups. We added breakfast after we got here, good value and tasty. Staff very friendly, gave recommendations for the area. Neighborhood was OK to walk in as a couple after dark. Room... More

This is a nice hidden gem place. It is located very central and yet it offers a quiet and green experience. You sleep with th sound of the birds. First night a bit annoying to your not used ears, but second night just fine. It is a colonial house, with few rooms and we enjoyed our room very much. Clean,... More

The Hotel is ideally located close to Khao San road andThe temples. It's a lovely traditional Thai House. But above all, the 2 girls taking care of The guests are amazing: always sweet and ready to help. I would definitely recommend that place and no doubt I Will stay there again next time I go to Bangkok.

It's a nice little guest house although the rooms are quite small with no furniture to put clothes in. The wall are very tiny, you can hear everything from the rooms close to yours. Not for noisy people or people very sensitive to noise. There were also birds in the garden that made a lot of noise in the middle... More

The room we had was small yet clean and with a/c. Only drawback is that in basement rooms you will hear the footsteps of your neighbors living upstairs quite well. So, of possible, try to get an upstair room. As the house is in a dead end street it is quiet. The breakfast will be served in the shady garden... More

This hotel is perfect for seclusion and tastefulness. As a traditional Thai house of not inconsiderable heritage, its rooms are cool and welcoming and provide peace and calm away from the street bustle. Nice little house dog by the name of Bibi keeps the guests company too, and the management are both decorous and very obliging. A place to revisit.

Stayed here two weeks ago to explore old bangkok for a weekend getaway. Fell in love with place. Set in a fully renovated thai house and run by the family who also lives in the compound, it has been exquisitely refurbished and decorated. Although it's been running for five years,it's very clean and very new as if just open yesterday.... More

Perfect hotel for couples and quiet people. It's more than a hotel...looks like a guest house! Wooden built, cozy rooms, amazing bathroom... Located near Kao San Road, you won't be able to hear any sound from the streets...oh...excepting all kind of birds...pure nature in the middle of Bangkok! If you're finding party and noise, this is not your place..

We discovered this little gem as its close to Khaosan, the backpacker and student mile in Bangkok. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised that despite its proximity to a major road, it was absolutely quite there. The team of Baan Noppawong did a great job in hosting us. The rooms and the houses have a nice decor. The shower was great.... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
