You get a good size room, a comfortable king size bed, icy cold air conditioning and a hot shower and low by Australian standards price of AUD30 (THB650) per night. Works for me. Check in was quick and efficient, luggage was promptly removed from the taxi and taken to our room. The hotel is right next to the famous/infamous Patpong night markets. 24 hour security for the adjacent and very upmarket Montien Hotel keeps dubious characters away.

I very much enjoyed my stay at 56 Surawong Hotel. Everything was clean and well-kept. Great location near restaurants, street food, the Silom Complex, and close for stops for both the BTS and MRT. I stayed for two months so I was grateful for the self-service coin-operated washing machine and dryer. All the staff were exceptionally polite and diligent. The only real negative was very slow wi-fi for my laptop computer.

Sawatdee krub thouk khon, Surawong Hotel 56 was really awesome: The stuff (reception and housekeeping) was very nice and helpfull, the room had a very good furniture and beds were so nice that we would liked to bring the pillows back home :) Everything was very clean and functional. Noise insulation was ok (7th floor to the street side) but for sure in a city like Bangkok there is always some noise. We stayed 2 weeks (with 4 extentable reservations but we did not travel around) and for sure we will be back there in April. The only negative thing was the SafetyBox: It was just put on the floor without any fixing, so anyone could carry it away, and batteries were empty. In the end we did not need it really so not a big deal. So I suggest to find a way to install it under the TV Table or elsewhere. Little hint: Since Covid, the paiment in the city by foreign Credit Cards is much easier, especially with a card like Revolut or others. Just check eventual fees that your bank will charge you. 56 Surawong - Great location, very competitive rate, extremely quiet and comfortable hotel especially the beds, we stayed in a connecting family room which was most convenient, outstanding and very friendly staff throughout the hotel from the cleaning to the front desk personnel - always willing to help - special mention to Ran who clearly went out of his way in helping us make an appointment with a required doctor. Very happy with our 4 week stay and would highly recommend 56 Surawong .

1. Very noisy, with the adjacent area having a new building erected. 2. We were in room 502, with a very weak Wi-Fi signal and hence very slow. 3. The room description claims it to have a mini-bar. But it’s an empty fridge on the floor. 4. The safe deposit box is not fixed, so not at all secure. 5. The air-con would only run for 3 hours before switching off. 6. The morning we checked out, we needed a taxi to the airport. It should usually cost 600-800 baht. Reception wanted 1,800 baht. Needless to say, we took a Grab (the Thai equivalent of Uber) for 645 baht.

We've noted your comments on the noise disturbance, Fi-Wi coverage, mini-bar, and safety box. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and will address these shortfalls. As for the taxi fee, our Front Office Manager checked you out and offered to call for a taxi at a meter rate. The reply was that you already used Grab Application and shared with him that you 'booked' a car from the airport by yourself, paying 1,800 Baht. By far the best value in Silom area. All the boxes are checked. price, locatioon, value for money, cleanliness, convenience and kid friendly right next to Montien and across from Patpong Market. 10 minutes walk to Sala Daeng trains station or Sam Yan subway

Does not have all the bells and whistles but offers comfort, quietness and all the essential at a great location in Silom area. The team is very friendly and always happy to help. My room was large, elegantly decorated, comfortable and very clean. Amenities are limited (would love a paper tissue box) but there was all I needed. There are lots of very good restaurants around the hotel and Lumphini Park for morning walks.

Wonderful clean hotel, great location is perfect for walking at to BTS/MRT. (Trains) close to Yoda studio, restaurants and shopping. 7-11, everything you need. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind and courteous. They went out of their way to help me find locations, make calls and assist me in anyway. Highly recommend!
