Another typical Khao San road area restaurant with unhappy staff. Unfortunately this part of Bangkok depicts the very worst of Thailand where Farangs are seen purely as walking ATM's and not people. The food was fine, nothing special. However, I was very disappointed by the service when my friend very accidentally broke a glass. You'd have thought she'd thrown the...

- it's way too expensive. There is a little room, a lot of noise, no breakfast. You can get these things much cheaper in a Hostel. - really: don't stay here if you don't want to party until the very end - 4 a.m. (like us - went to bed at 2 p.m.) The music is loud and you can...

“Fabulous” Reviewed 2 days ago NEW This was my final stay, for 2 nights, of a 3 week trip taking in 4 countries. It was by far the best accommodation of them all. It is in a lively street which runs parallel to the Khao San Road. My room was on the 4th floor and any noise associated with the...

The hotel is very old but clean. It is well located, near a lot of restaurants and markets so there is plenty of options for dinner and shopping. However, the staff is rude and not helpful at all. Hope they improve their service.

We arrived at 7am hoping we could get in early (had just slept at the airport and were very tired), room was still in use but they let us check our heavy bags. Walked around until checkin at 1. Got a room with balcony on the 5th floor. Very nice room, clean, pretty, air conditioned, tv, and free wifi! The...

Stayed here 2 nights before flying to the islands. Good location to see grand palace, reclining Buddha etc anyone Road away from koh San Road. Hotel was clean and bed very comfortable. Early check in offered at arrival for a price. Totally worth it. Organised taxi back to airport which was smooth. Friendly staff.

Nice acommodation and well located, also is very clean and very cheap... I hardly think someone can find something better and cleaner in that zone. Be aware that this zone is a party one where all the foreigners stay, so despite is noisy the rooms don't have a problem.

This is the perfect stop off hotel if you are taking the Lomprhia bus/ferry to Koh Tao. Very central to many excellent restaurants and shops in the Ko sarn road area. Nice friendly staff and clean rooms.

If you are the type of person who loves partying and lively night life then this hotel fits for you. The price is worth the stay. Near to atm machines and 7 eleven store. The hotel also is a walking distance to boat terminal going to Wat Arun temple and the reclining buddha. I love how they set up our...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
