We are very regular travelers to Bangkok and usually stay in the Soi 11 - 15 area but decided to try something different and less expensive. Hotel is ideally located some 200 meters from BTS and Terminal 21. Check in was efficient and friendly and we were also upgraded to a Superior Double for our 2 night stay which was...

AC problems and front desk wanted to move us temporarily. It was humid and hot and having an AC that kept turning off every 30 minutes made the stay miserable. Then on to leaky AC after we mistakenly turned it to dry-mode! Staff came and put a bucket and then towels because the dripping noise made it impossible to sleep!...

Stayed at CityPoint hotel in Bangkok for five nights at the end of March. Began our trip a a couple of "value" hotels earlier in the week and found that it is very important in Bangkok to have access to commuter rail services to get around town easily. Found this hotel on TripAdvisor with excellent rating, excellent location, and excellent...

Quite difficult to find in a small alley next to the BTS Asok station and MRT Sukhumvit station, but ideal location for this small boutique hotel. Nice rooms and bathroom, excellent Wifi, only negative is the loud A/C even when set to the lowest level. They should improve this, because it does have a slightly negative impact on sleep quality....

The hotel is conveniently located near the BTS subway line and the airport link. We were a little lost after getting off the subway. Thankfully we purchased a cellphone package at the airport so we could use google maps. Check in was quick and efficient. The staff brought us a lovely welcome drink on arrival. The room was very clean....

This hotel is located in Asoke, close to BTS (high speed urban railway) and is perfect for holidays: friendly and welcoming staff, nice and clean rooms, good breakfast and ideal location. It's close to many shops and malls too.

We stayed here for one night and we're not disappointed. On arrival we were upgraded, the member of staff who checked us in spoke excellent English. The room was large the bedding excellent, big pillows. It's not a high rise, only 6 floors and extremely quiet for sleeping considering it is close to the asoke junction we had a peaceful...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
