If you have to quarantine on arrival in Bangkok, it's worthwhile looking around to find what suits your requirements. There are hundreds to choose from, but surprisingly not many with windows to open or with a balcony. The Amanta Hotel was perfect for me. 52sqm, balcony, one bedroom, kitchen with washing machine and the bathroom modern, spotless and instant hot water. The apartment has everything provided you need for the 15 days, all bin liners, soap, coffee (even 3 Nespresso capsule per day) water, all amenities etc. And if you need more, just a phone call, and there is no extra charge, they will provide immediately. The bed was high quality and very comfortable, so was the linen and pillows. Internet superfast, never had an issue with streaming, Netflix etc. They have limited exercise equipment available and I was lucky to score a treadmill, but this is a bit pricey with 6500THB for the 2 weeks. The quality of the food and the variation in the menu was outstanding. And there is plentiful with 3 full meal services per day. You get the 15 days menu in advance and you can choose from 2 main courses. But every meal would have 5 course, salad, soup, main, rice, dessert, chocolate bar or nuts and another beverages. So you will end up canceling courses and meal periods as it is just too, much. And because you have a kitchen, you do not need to eat when they deliver. Front office is very friendly, great communicators, good English. The medical support is very well organized and the swaps are executed very gentle and save. In 15 days, I had no need to order any other food and other store items. It is all catered for. Another big plus is the quietness, no outside noise or any noise from rooms above or below. Even outside (except on occasional days from a building site close by) there is a low noice level.

If you have to quarantine coming to Thailand, I cannot recommend the Amanta & Residence Sathorn highly enough. The set up is perfect everything is modern and new. I have been able to work exercise and maintain a healthy and happy routine while staying here. The team are really kind and efficient. The meals are fairly substantial. The Thai food is very good especially if you like seafood. Do specify your requirements on arrival. They use fully compostable and recyclable packaging to deliver the food, which is really important to me. I would prefer they delivered large bottles of water instead of the small ones if I was to change something. The health and hygiene standards are really high. And once you have your clear Covid test you can use the outdoor area by the pool (which is lovely) for an hour a day. But the best bit is being able to use the balcony in the room as long as you wear a face mask. If you’ve travelled a long distance this makes all the difference in adjusting to the time zone and beat the jetlag. I would stay here if travelling on business in a heartbeat, but if you’re travelling and I’m looking for an ASQ hotel this is the best.

This is my home away from home, feels more like an apartment than a hotel. The rooms are huge, I've stayed twice with Amanta and have been assigned Premium deluxe rooms in the middle on different floors and would confidently say, the layout and comfort level is consistent. Rooms are decently clean, fixtures are modern, bed is comfy, aircon units (1 in living room and 1 in the bedroom) are steady and strong, especially appreciated the auto toilets and the solid shower pressure (although the temperature may jump too hot at times during the shower, you'll get the kick out of it once you use it a few times), and of course not forgetting the washing machine (with dryer function) provided. The 2 units of TV (one in the living room and one in the room) have enough channels. The receptionists are always ready to help, housekeeping standards are consistent (I didn't utilise at all but they are always hard at work when I pass by or ask for a change of fresh towels and top ups etc) and the security is always at duty. The location itself is less than 10mins walk from Lumpini station (blue line) and within the vicinity there are quite a handful of local massage parlours and street stalls that can be reached by foot all within 10mins. This hotel is definitely a gem and the area offers quite a bit of fair local taste to explore if you would like!
