I have been at etz hostel for 1 month ;) Everything is good. It's easy to find Thai street food around. The rooms are cozy and clean. I met lots of friends around the world during the time I been there. And the price is reasonable for backpack tourists.

This place is great, welcome, and cheap. The minimum prize is 250 per night per person. The rooms are cozy & clean. The wifi is really fast. There is a lounge for relaxing and making new friends. Both international & domestic visiters are welcome.

Just off the main road but still couldn't hear any traffic. Rooms are clean and recleaned every day. Toilets are clean. Perfect detox after travelling the islands and they're nasty ratchet utilities. Cheap with air con in all the right places. Common room was ideal for meeting other travellers. Maybe they could replace the dying batteries in their fire alarm,... More

The overall feel and cleanliness is top notch but I really found it to be lacking in atmosphere. People seemed to almost avoid each other here and we were all about the same age. They have a bar area that is not utilized at all and the general common area and outside section lack things to do. I would stay... More

Our group stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are very accommodating and are always available. The reception is open 24 hrs. At the 2nd floor, every one must remove their shoes which is okay since the floor is very clean. The location is great too: walking distance to Lumpini station, restaurants adjacent to it, near 7-11 and street foods.... More

Clean beds, helpful staff, good bathroom facilities. A bit out of the way, but still walking distance from supermarkets and bars and restuarants. Overall very good for the price. Only thing it was missing was a buzzing atmosphere that you often find in hostels. Maybe not the place to go if you want to meet new people, etc.

We found out about this hostel from a blog post stating the 30 best hostels in the world! To say that we were disappointed was an understatement. The staff were dreadful on the reception desk. So unhelpful and un friendly. The rooms were ok, good sized dorms and clean however we had towels as bed covers... I feel that they... More

Average is the only word to describe this place! It was clean and fairly modern! No atmosphere in the place, poor common area! The staff were quite unhelpful! In the business district, not a lot near by! Depends what you're looking for! It's a Comfortable quite place. Not as good as it looks online, wouldn't go back

The hostel is really clean and quite modern. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There are numerous 7/11s close by and street food close too. It's not in the best location in terms of being close to the action, but it's only a few minutes walk from the cheap and reliable MRT which was really handy.

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
