We went as a couple and had a very unpleasant experience in this hotel. I chose it because of the good reviews online but this ended up being one of the worst hotel stays in my life. I booked a room before the easing of Covid measures. So I booked the full package with the taxi from the airport to the hotel. Two weeks before our booking date I contact them to let them know my new flight arrival time (the air company modified it by a few hours). When we arrive at the airport, no taxi to be seen. We call the hotel and the lady on the phone tells us she can't find our reservation and that they don't arrange taxis from the airport to the hotel; Only from the hotel to the airport. I tell them that I my booking includes a taxi (I even paid a deposit) and that I have the confirmation email that says so. After putting me on hold many times for many minutes (I had to pay 50€ telephone bill because I called them from my french number... and after each one of my question they put me on hold for a few minutes...Great start), they say they finally found my booking and that they cancelled it after the easing of Covid measures. I didn't get any email or anything telling me my reservation was cancelled. I didn't get a refund of my deposit. At that point they told me I can still come by hiring a taxi myself and they will create another reservation for me tonight. Alright, I was tired from my flight and didn't want to spend time finding another hotel so I said ok. We got a taxi and went to the hotel. The staff was very unwelcoming (when we entered the lobby they didn't even look at us or say anything). They told us we have to pay 1500 baht for the room plus a 500 baht deposit that will be given back to us at checkout. We payed, we didn't complain about the taxi at all and stayed polite, got our room key and went straight to our room. The room: very very (very) noisy. Right above a very passing street with vey bad sound isolation (the window was so thin we heard the street noises as it there were no window at all). We went down to the lobby and asked politely if it was possible to get another room because we were very tired and couldn't rest in this room because of all the noise. The man at the reception desk told us it wqs impossible because all the rooms were booked. He faked a quick check on his computer. We knew it wasn't true. You could still rent rooms online for this night and the lady looking for my reservation when I called earlier told us we were the only reservation for the day. LOL Useless to say, we didn't sleep much during that night... honking, engine revving sounds and people screaming in the hotel corridors at 3am... But it doesn't stop there. In the morning we go to the lobby to check out (thankfully we only booked a night!) and the people there were not the same as the day before. They look at our reservation on their computer and tell us we still have to pay 650 baht. At that point I started to loose my cool and after long minutes of explanations and asking them to call the team that did out check in to confirm that they owed me 500 baht and I already payed in full, they finally gave me my 500 baht and we quickly left this horrible place. I'm usually very comprehensive and only leave good reviews on the internet and I still don't understand how an hotel that has so many good reviews can be so bad. Maybe they had a bad day but we were treated very badly and it gave us a very bad first impression of the country. Thankfully our other hotels after this one were perfect. I would recommend you to avoid The Quarter Phromphong By UHG at all cost if you come to Bangkok, you can find better for a lot cheaper, trust me on this one. Oh and they still haven't refunded my initial reservation deposit.

This hotel is very well located, giving you access to many good spots in the city. Management is good and rooms are confy. The pool on the rooftop is a plus! It's great to have this refreshing water in the heat of the summer. I want to thank Andrea and Yut at the reception who really made our stay easy, by arranging our needs. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Unhappy with my stay after checking in today. Room had a really strong perfume/cleaning scent that housekeeping probably sprayed to mask some prior odor. This made it impossible to sleep and made me feel sick and gave me a headache. A/c system shows that filter needs to be changed. When we asked to change rooms they said hotel has no occupancy so no choice but to just have an unpleasant night. Also requested a pillow and it was never delivered. Requested a shuttle and took to long to arrive and we gave up and just walked. Check in experience was crowded and no a/c in the lobby. The price is affordable but there are still so many other options in Bangkok that don’t have these issues.

Clean, comfortable, well-furnished hotel tucked into a hip corner of Soi 31 in an upscale part of Phromphong, surrounded by restaurants and around the corner from a 7-11. As of April 2022 rooms were going for $30-$35 USD per night exclusive of breakfast (currently on sale for for just under $5 USD per person). Air conditioning is reassuringly strong and could adequately cool the room even during a sweltering time in Bangkok 38C/100F. Water pressure was excellent and housekeeping and porters couldn't do enough for me during my stay. I had such a wonderful time at this hotel I extended my stay for a week and booked out of a more luxurious property with which I had a long-term relationship. Angela and Niksha at the front desk were so friendly and helpful and Bella at breakfast was excellent! There is a complimentary shuttle until 8 pm that goes to Phromphong BTS and Emquartier Mall. Bed was comfortable and I preferred rooms with a sofa instead of a desk and chair. Minor drawbacks to the property, the lobby is small and can easily become overcrowded and therefore delay service. Internal sound proofing could be improved but is not a deal breaker, balconies in basic rooms do not open, and there is daytime building construction on one side of the hotel. Simply ask for a room on the other side and you won't hear anything. People traveling with families should know that the hotel is relatively close to a couple of Bangkok's red light areas although tons of families with children stay here and certainly seem to enjoy themselves. And a great many wonderful hotels in Bangkok have the same issues. The good dramatically outweighs the bad with this hotel and I must confess that an awful lot of savvy travelers choose this hotel for their base in Bangkok and with good reason, great prices, friendly staff, nicely appointed compact rooms, good housekeeping, and fitness facilitates and rooftop pool also above average. Breakfast is above average for price and the neighborhood is great. Stay here. You won't regret it. Actually no, I changed my mind, don't stay here. It leaves more rooms available for me! Happy traveling!

No info what-so-ever at checkin around food, facilities or the Test & Go specifics. Noisy construction next door, rooms only reasonably clean, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, NO information how to call fron desk from room (not a single listed number anywhere in the room), wrong opening hours for "room service" on Room Service pamphlet in room (with message from front desk "ohh, someone might have written it wrong then"), broken cabinets in bedroom, no pricelist or indication that "mini-bar" has a cost (simple soft drinks and beer in fridge) and totally ignored when mentioned at reception. Beds are reasonable however far from good - and bedding was torn and towels very worn. Lousy breakfast with simple toast, few noodle dishes and 5 boiled sausages etc. Look elsewhere - much better options out there for about same price. For Test & Go they use a cheap hospital (Paola) located far north so also add an hour of extra driving (30mins back/forth from hotel).

Rooms are generally clean. Air conditioner, refrigerator, and wifi work great. But poor shower drainage, water temperature inconsistencies, improperly sealed shower door, and not very clean looking/smelling bath towels are issues that need to be addressed. Doors and walls are thin. Been woken up by a millennial regretting activities from the previous night puking and screaming, door slamming, and you can guess the third activity. Hard working housekeeping on the 7th floor kept my room clean and tidy and supplies restocked daily. Location is its weakest point. Located deep into the soi, even with the free but limited shuttle service, it is a long walk to the nearest bts/mrt stations and malls - especially in the heat. Catching a shuttle is great, but only when it's available. Only one operates until 8 pm. If it's not available when you're ready to go, you may wait 30 minutes for it to return because at times traffic is horrendous. A big shout out to bellboys Yut and Ton, who drive the shuttle and performs other miscellaneous duties, always ready to help and perform their jobs eagerly and with positive attitudes.

This is my third stay at the hotel - I love the location and the times before were good. I stayed again for the test and go 5 day package and the experience was excellent. The hotel responded straight away with my confirmation. I could speak with Kris via what's app which was so helpful during covid travel planning. I got an early check in which I was very happy about and they even gave me a late check out on day 5. My test came in 12 hours later and the hotel were super quick to keep me updated. I was so happy with everything this time, they deserve a 5 star review. All the staff are super lovely, the breakfast is very nice and the rooms are really nicely decorated and super clean. Will stay again for sure!
