I booked this as it was the cheapest hotel closest to the Australian Embassy where I had to visit. Overtly the foyer is ok, but stairs everywhere! As Im partially disabled this was an issue, some of the steps just to get to the elevator were over 1 foot high! The manager was a camp version of Basil Fawlty (2nd... More

Arrived at the hotel 1.30 am, receptionist was drunk, gave me my key, and showed me the room. Well, I was too tired to complain. So, I just slept, and checked-out before 8 am. That's all - never ever again!

For starters, finding the place is difficult. I wouldn't have been able to without mobile data. When I finally arrived the reception staff were busy joking and laughing, and didn't even acknowledge me for about a minute. One man told me he couldn't accept my ID, (UK driving licence) but every other hotel in Bangkok accepts it, no fuss! (It... More

The way(s) to the place were creepy and scary. There is no food cart(s) or anything nearby. The place itself smelt like broken sewage. The architecture of this place is confusing. The bed linens had pubes, hair, human DNA, etc. Given that it was cheap, I wouldn't wish to ask for anything much but considering it is a place that... More

On pain of death avoid this hell hole. I can't even remember all the things I hate about it but here are a few: The dirt of the place, The noise at all hours of the day and night, the cleaners running up and down the halls at 5am, the drilling outside the windows at 7am, Dead mosquitos all over... The Hotel is very close to the BTS and with 550b for a double room very cheap. There is a nice pool on the roof and a gym that is free of charge. The room we stayed in was nothing special, but definitely worth the 500b..we had a nice double bed, a big fridge, a huge wall of cupboards and... More

The reason for this apartment is price just only 600 baht for double room per night, it very cheap accommodation around Sathorn. You have to walk 10 more minutes or 1 km to get BTS. Apartment is located in the alley but it's really safe. There are may dusty in there. The room was not clean. And bathroom is quite... More

I stayed 3 nights, and would consider staying again. The prize is really good, so I don't expect a lot. The bathroom could've been cleaner, but over all I think it was fine. I did struggle a bit with wifi, which isn't included, but not sure if they're to blame. Location is good, a couple minutes away from Skytrain, and... More

First of all, this place has 2 buildings. One building is completely nasty and not clean (it's old). The other building (relatively new) is not bad, but rooms are pretty small - unless you get the larger size room (which will cost you around 300 USD per month). Bottom line though, is that the management does not care at all... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
