It was a nightmare. The room is so magic. As long as you close the door, the temperature inside will become super higher. I have no idea abt what's going on...and just felt like being stifling. I strongly recommand you not to choose the single fan room w/ priv bathrm. Btw, somehow, the staffs looks like they are in their...

This is a no frills type place, plain & simple. Basic, dull minimal rooms with rock hard beds - shared toilets and showers. Prime location near Khao San Road & the river. Bella Bella will pick up quite a few walk in's as people can't stay at their preferred choices - & end up looking around. Do not stay at...

Really good location in Soy Rambuttri close to Khao San Road! Nice staff, open 24/7 so you can stay out as long as you like, good price for a simple room! Shared bathroom/showers on every floor, but its clean and works fine. (Just remember to bring your own toilettpaper). Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Bangkok. Perfect for...

This guesthouse is near Khao San Rd, but not right on it. I was here just for a weekend, and much preferred this place over the guesthouse I stayed at right on khao San. I actually was able to sleep here on the night I didn't want to party! It is much quieter. I got a single room with a....

It was a releif to find this neat guesthouse in the middle of a crazy hot february day after 16 h journey. The place is vey simple, just beds in the standard room but the cleaniness this sort is very hard to find. For a budget price of course. Another plus is a fair quiet area even though close to...

Ended up staying here because I was too tired to carry on looking after an hour walks round in the heat with my backpack. Paid 450 BHT for a double room only in high season for a room with a fan. Despite the fan, the room seemed to be incredibly hotel and stuffy. The rooms are very small and not...

When I go in this kind of guesthouse, I don't expect much more than a bed, a fan and somewhere to have a shower. This is what you have here, for a correct price (250b for a single/fan room). The location is also very good. Then, I can understand that for such a cheap price, you have to pay everything...

The title is of little exxaggeration. My room resembled a prison cell. 2 metal single beds, plain walls, metal bucket bin and no shower - there was even mesh on the windows. I was horrified. I almost picked up my bag and headed to the Kempinski. However, this guesthouse is fit for its purpose, and I had a pleasant stay....

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
