Travelled with friends, then they didn't take reservations. They have various options. Rooms without 'air-cons' and shared bathrooms are cheaper. You'd have to take off your footwear and carry them to your room. That is, I believe, to maintain cleanliness. Internet is available in the lobby area for a reasonable price. The room and bathrooms are clean. Bed is comfortable....

If you need just a bed this one is a good choice. No thrills rooms, friendly staff, close to Khao San area. Besides being a B&B it is also a good choice to sit down on their verandah with friends and talk: cheap beers, no load music, quiet area – very different to all the other places on Soi Rambutri....

Good location in the backpacker area. Rooms are clear and clean, those that are facing the street can be a bit noisy but nothing too much. Staff is friendly although not all speak good English :-) there is also a small restaurant in this guesthouse, pancakes are particularly good !

I paid 250 Baht per night for a single room incl. a fan and a shared bathroom. It's a very basic room with nothing but a bed in it, but absolutely clean. A single room incl. a fan and private bathroom costs 280 Baht. You have 6 hours of free Wi-Fi per day and have to pay an additional 40...

I've stayed at the Bella Bella House every summer since 2008. It is good value for money. Safe, clean & the staff are very nice. They have rooms with toilet & shower or with shared toilets & shower. The shared facilities are very clean & every floor has it's own toilet & showers. As a single mother travelling with my...

It was a nightmare. The room is so magic. As long as you close the door, the temperature inside will become super higher. I have no idea abt what's going on...and just felt like being stifling. I strongly recommand you not to choose the single fan room w/ priv bathrm. Btw, somehow, the staffs looks like they are in their...

This is a no frills type place, plain & simple. Basic, dull minimal rooms with rock hard beds - shared toilets and showers. Prime location near Khao San Road & the river. Bella Bella will pick up quite a few walk in's as people can't stay at their preferred choices - & end up looking around. Do not stay at...

Really good location in Soy Rambuttri close to Khao San Road! Nice staff, open 24/7 so you can stay out as long as you like, good price for a simple room! Shared bathroom/showers on every floor, but its clean and works fine. (Just remember to bring your own toilettpaper). Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Bangkok. Perfect for...

This guesthouse is near Khao San Rd, but not right on it. I was here just for a weekend, and much preferred this place over the guesthouse I stayed at right on khao San. I actually was able to sleep here on the night I didn't want to party! It is much quieter. I got a single room with a....

It was a releif to find this neat guesthouse in the middle of a crazy hot february day after 16 h journey. The place is vey simple, just beds in the standard room but the cleaniness this sort is very hard to find. For a budget price of course. Another plus is a fair quiet area even though close to...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
