My wife and I have stayed here numerous times over the last couple of years and it is a nice but basic hotel, staff are really friendly and the location is excellent for the BTS. Silom and Patpong market are extremely close and there is plenty of restaurants to eat at nearby.

Baan Silom is a nice quiet hotel in the heart of Silom road. It is off the main road down soi 3 but not very far. Everything you want is only 5 minutes walk away and it is close to the MRT to go outside the Silom area. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

I had a very comfortable air conditioned room.....spacious, scrupulously clean, very friendly and helpful staff. A short walk to Patpong Market and Pintsman Bar ( a lovely place for a cold beer and a good meal).

As a past client of this hotel, I am incredibly disappointed with the action of the hotel management yesterday. After booking 6 nights accommodation at the hotel, approx 2 months ago, I received an email from them yesterday, the day we were supposed to check-in, confirming they had overbooked the hotel and could not longer accommodate us for the first...

The apartment is well located near enough from sala daeng by foot without a luggage. The room has no windows which makes the atmosphere quite doomed. Apartment is unfresh looking could use some Painting and decorations. No strong feelings on Staffs either: one is unpleasant, one doesn't speak English and one is quite nice and helpful. Bed is hard which...

Stayed for 3 days. Great hotel if you're looking for a location next to Silom and to metro links. Room itself was clean, basic and just what we needed for a busy 3 night stay in BKK. There's no pool or breakfast, but we were only indoors to bring back shopping, shower and sleep. Sleeping was OK but I would...

Given the price, it's a very good hotel. Good location (near night market, skytrain, small 7/11 shop, quiet), clean rooms with good ac, comfy bed and spacious bath and last but not least nice reception. The gap to excellent: wifi very often too weak, mini window in the room, no breakfast (sometimes I like to have breakfast in the hotel)...

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

“Got a room in first floor in the front of building. Besides Bangkok been a noisy city, we don´t have issues in room. But we believe that upper rooms are better. And the hotel have a elevator, so no problem.”

“Any room is good. It has large windows and even the bathroom have windows to hang your hand-washed laundry to dry outside. Choose a room facing the road for a view or facing the rear for a quiet stay.”

“All rooms face the front (I think) which does nt make a difference. Though, the hotel has a large outdoor place to smoke etc, but one can't drink beer there. If you want a place to unwind with beer, go to the small outdoor space of the hostel in the same street called HQ. Buy beer there, sit on the stools, meet interesting people; and be close to the hotel too.”
