When you first walk down the alley into Feung Nakorn's Courtyard, your first impression is " What the hell did I get myself into. " By the end of the days all those fears and misgivings vanish. The rooms and bath are spartan but very clean, buffet breakfast is very good in a great courtyard setting with Coy pond included.But... More

The hotel was our base in Bangkok for a few days this January. It is actually Rooms & Restaurant, not only “& Cafe” any more. It is a three story building, a converted school with two courtyards turned into a koi pond and small gardens. There is also a bar beyond the pond and plenty of armchairs, deckchairs, sunbeds and... I couldn't recommend Feung Nakorn enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful - we actually went back a few weeks after staying because I had left a dress behind and they helped us book a taxi to the airport and allowed us to leave our bags, as well as answering questions about currency exchange. I was also very happy... More

Nice welcoming place with very friendly staff. Very quiet for a hostel. Our room was basic but very clean. Had everything we needed. The staff would bend over backwards to help. Lovely buffet breakfast. Within easy reach of all tourist attractions. Only drawback just be aware that their are no bars or restaurants close by. Khao San Road 20 minute... More

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in mid-January. It was clean and quiet, you had free snacks in your room throught the day, and the staff was helpful. A good location, walkable to the to the Grand Palace/Wat Po/National Museum area, and not in a tourist area. This made dinner a bit of a challnge, but... More

Loved staying here. Originally booked a triple room but none available on arrival, so we had a family room, the only drawback was on the 4th floor and no lift. It was such a really nice room so worth the stairs! We had two rooms which had a king bed in one room which was huge with a lounge &... More

Very nice location, quite place in the safe area, cozy and warm-full design and garden. Friendly english speaking staff, what is still wondering even in Bangkok. The kitchen is pretty good, the restaurant in a space full garden.

Near Wat Pho and the Palace but in a Thai, not tourist location. The pond was a great success with our children who just wanted to stay in the hotel and feed the carp and look for tadpoles. The price was reasonable and our room clean. The area is near some good historic sites as well as some interesting local... More

We loved this place. It was in a good location, close to wat pho and a nice park and walking distance from kao San if that's what you're into. The rooms we beautifully clean and spacious and quiet. There was a nice courtyard to sit in. The best thing though was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. They... More

This place was a bit hard for our taxi driver to find, had to do a couple of laps but in the end found it. Great location, close to many attractions. We loved taking morning walks in the Saranrom Park across the street and watching all the exercise activities that take place there. At check in the service was prompt,... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
