Stayed here one night. 1200 baht, no breakfast. Staff unfriendly, rooms dark and dingy. Window looked out onto a filthy (inaccessible) balcony Bathroom window opened into hallway. TV so tiny and high up you couldn't watch it if you wanted to. The beds were comfortable is all I can say about the place. There are beautiful hotels in the area,... More

Stayed for 4 nights, room's fronting the road only separated by a street to Khao San and have slept well in peace and quiet our entire stay. The place is actually distanced well-enough in such a way that you're free from the outside noise (sound of the air conditioning may have played a part), and that wherever you are in... More

Helpful and friendly staff, room simple but clean with all the necessities. But I had a room towards the street outside, where cars and motorbikes are driving 24/7. Also a lot of partypeople yelling from the street. The window was broken so I couldn't close it. Earplugs recommended.

The place has a great location just far enough from kaoh san that it is possible to sleep but also only 2 minutes walk from kaoh san, the beds where comfy and the room was clean (besides the geckos in the shower). How ever they really nickel and dime you here, especially when it comes down to using the wi-fi... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pannee House for 3 nights at the beginning or our trip and again for our final night at the end of our trip. We couldn’t ask for a better experience. We arrived on Khao San Road at 2am on a Friday night. We wanted a place close to the action but still quite.... More

In our trip of one month we stayed twice in Pannee House. The first time our room was a little more bigger and more cheap because their weren't totally booked. The first time we payed around €15 and the second time around €18 in a slightly smaller room (next to the room we stayed in first). Comfortable bed with a... More

We did not stay at the hotel, but we had supper at the restaurant. It was very reasonably priced and served very good curries. The beer was cold. The milkshakes were excellent. The service was quite good as well.

When will places learn that being cheap hurts business? The hotel is fine, the rooms are good, and the price is reasonable, but they will only give you one internet code and charge you $1/hr for more. It costs them $0 to give internet access for their customers, and makes everyone happier. When they learn to value customer service over... More

Arriving from the island of Koh Chang we had no reservation and we were dropped at Khao San road. This area is very busy, and crowded. We needed a room for the 5 of us just for 1 night. We found this hotel tucked away in a side street but close to Khao San. The people at the reception of... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
