Merlin Lodge is neither the typical Airbnb, nor a typical small guest house, but something in between. Located 20 minutes SW of the main shopping and tourist areas, it is immediately next to a BTS (skytrain) station and has bus stops both ways, just outside the door. The manager, Ken, and his daughter are currently renovating the whole place, so...

We stayed here for 6 nights , the owner picked us up from the airport and that was the best part it all goes downhill after that ....the place does not have an elevator so you carry your bags up 3-4 floors depending on which room is assigned, there is no minimart as shown in the pictures, no breakfast included,...

First of all, I would like to say that the owner, Ken, was an excellent host. He was very helpful by asking all of our questions, giving us hints and tips about Bangkok, and generally being a nice person to chat to. The location of the place is also great, right outside Punnawithi BTS Station, making access to downtown Bangkok...

I stayed in this hotel in May 2013 for 5 days. I was little worried as in the begining, because I was landing bangkok in the early morning 3.00a.m. But hotel owner Ken was waiting for me in the airport. He promptly took me in that odd time to the hotel. My stay was very relaxed without any worries. It...

The rooms were a good size, and it was generally a good location(right outside a subway stop, some small restaurants and a shopping center nearby) but the "cafe" isn't really a cafe and I didn't see a bakery, as was advertised. They didn't clean the room the five days we were there, which was a little strange. The noisy street...

When I first arrived I was a bit disappointed because the website makes the hotel look way better than it really is. There is no minimart as it states in the website. The rooms are ok, although we were paying for hot water, there wasn't any. Also we were there for a week and not once did they come clean...

The location is good but also bad. It's near bts station, but so far away from any attraction, not easy to find food. I stayed in triple room, with my lil sis and our friend, the room is good but small, the toilet also good. But they never clean the room while we stay there, so we have to throw...

Bedroom was dirty when we arrived. Grime on the floor and surfaces and dirty footprints on the wall next to the bed. Sheets and pillow cases smelled bad and the duvet was stiff and smelly like it had never been washed. Hot water in the shower didn't work, drain pipe in the basin leaked, and there was frequently no water...
