booked into another hostel which was set back from khao san road on purpose to avoid the direct noise coming from the street, only to be told i was moved here instead, same owner apparently, the room was small and very basic but that was to be expected, what was not to be expected was the sheer volume of noise... I puked on the bed and they didnt complained, gave some juice to staff as sorry. Staff was really nice and smilling, dont know why people try to blame them for street noise or heat, its like if had an earthquake and said "Nice place, but everything was shaking. 1 of 5."

Very good situation, clean, and cheap, The reception is nice, the street is very busy but if you go there I guess you like it. Good place for three or four days. Shower is clean, and hot water. Everything was ok.

I stayed here just for one night before going to the aiport in Bangkok. Thank God it was just one night! The room was really big with AC so that was good. It was two of us but we got a huge King bed and a smaller bed. I think we were just lucky. But the bathroom was really dirty.... More

Stayed here on 2 separate occasions when visiting Bangkok during our Thailand travels. Stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. Wanted a double bed but they gave us twin beds. Room was basic but clean. Bathroom also basic but clean. For the price it's fine. Good budget accommodation on Koh San Road. Not very quiet at night as you... More

We've moved from their partner hostel to this one on Khao San, pretty much because we couldn't be bothered looking around in the heat and we insisted on having air conditioning in the room. Our double room with a/c cost us 550b a night, which was a little much, but still ok for the location. The hostel is nice and... More

I checked in for one night as I had to find somewhere last minute and had stayed on Khao San road before but my usual hostels were fully booked. I was recommended this hostel by someone I'd met so immediately headed up behind the subway shop and checked in. Why I was recommended it I do not know. I was... More

Chada is in behind the Subway store on Khaosan Rd, it is simple, but comfortable and reasonably priced. It is not attached to a bar or restaurant, just quiet. We paid 380THB for a double fan room, w/ window, shared bathroom was clean, new tiles but ceiling paint peeling. No room on Khaosan Rd is quiet at night, so you... More

The photos of this place must be about 5 years old....there are no computers or communal area! The rooms are like prison cells maybe smaller. I stayed in a double fan room as no a/c left, there was enough room for the bed and maybe a bag. The fan was terrible, I could blow more air! The female at front... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
