This is my first time staying at Mini R Ratchada Hotel. I stay a total of 3 nights and had great rest.
The lobby and front desk area has more than enough space to handle 10 pax at one time. There are ample sofa space for about 10 pqx and the outside has 6 seats for additional space. The restaurant next to the lobby belongs to the hotel as well. There are some nice display of Thai Amulets and 2 statues of Monkey God. There are two fish tanks with different breeds of turtles too.
The restaurant serves a variety of food. It is surprising to see a small hotel with a big restaurant which provides daily breakfast and food for room services. There are also many wine selection here.
The room that I stayed in is with modern chic design. Thought it might not be luxurious as compared to some 4 star hotels but the cupboard has lot of space to hang your clothings. There is a large area for putting 1 big and 1 small luggage (both opened up) which helps a lot in packing and unpacking. The bed is also very comfortable and the table area is big too. The minibar also has beverages at certain pricing which is rather surprising to have for a 3 star hotel.
The bathroom is big and has a small window. It is good for me as I like to do my own laundry during travelling. The hotel also provides laundry services at an affordable cost.
This hotel is located within walking distance from BTS and the blue line (10 mins). There is a 7-11 store across the road and easily accessible by an overhead bridge. There is a big seafood restaurant above this 7-11 store as well.
It takes you about 5 mins to reach The Street shopping mall where there are many restaurants and shops including a Starbucks , Burger King and KFC outlets. There is a supermarket in this mall and Big C Extra supermarket is just next to The Street.
The big question now is will I stay here again and my answer is Yes without hesitation. The hotel may look small from outside but they have the great staff and the convenience of the amenities around here makes up for everything. There are room services and beverages which most 3 star hotel does not have. I would consider this a 3.5 star hotel.

The MiniR is a great place to stay if you are having dental work done at the Bangkok International Dental Center.
It is literally next door and the staff are helpful and friendly.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor ( 11am-7pm)
The Street shopping center and Big C are within short (300metres) walking distance.

First off, the front desk personnel were nice. The room was very spacious, clean and also the bathroom is so clean. They also offer breakfast during our 4 days and 3 nights stay. The location is just near the malls and MTR subway stations which was convenient for us.

I have been to Mini r 3 times. I am well-travelled and have stayed in a range of starred hotels all over the World.
In the past, I was very impressed with Mini r.
This time, not.
It WAS a fabulous little 3 star hotel.
Something has gone very wrong with the place since March 2020 (my last visit).
Everything including website is out of date with deceptive information and conflicting statements.
Website says breakfast available in cafe; on arrival, I was told only lunch & dinner possible.
And, that is only the beginning... .
Every request I make is met with a, "that will cost/not possible", statement.
Light over vanity basin is out/can't be fixed.
They must have only had criminals as guests in the recent past, because there are, "thou shall not" signs and lists everywhere.
I won't be staying here again.
VERY dissappoi.ted ( an emotion which is a cancer to loyalty).

Though I have not stayed at the Ratchada location, I have stayed at the Thong Lor location multiple times. It is in a nice residential area, close to the Thong Lor Skytrain station, and surrounded by great japanese and korean restaurants.
The hotel is actually on the fourth and fifth floors of a small building, above a pretty good hamburger joint (if you're so inclined).
The rooms are quiet, very clean, and there is free wi-fi internet service. Free breakfast from Au Bon Pain is delivered to your room every morning.
Thong Lor is a very safe neighbourhood, and somewhat trendy. The Villa Supermarket is one soi over if you want to grab some groceries, but the myriad of nearby restaurants are of great value.
Unlike hotels in the Silom or Sukhumvit area you can be assured you will get a good taxi ride to the airport (around 200 baht) without fear of being ripped off.

I stayed at the Mini for 8 days while having dental work done at BIDC.
The hotel is right next door and I wasn't sure how much walking and traveling I was going to feel like doing.
The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The price was good for what you get. Big comfi bed, air con. Cable TV , Breakfast inc. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is OK but not in the heart of things. It's located mid way between 2 Metro stations, an easy 10 minute walk each way. There's a basic restaurant next door, and a good coffee hut right outside BIDC. Just around the corner is a local street with cafe's, bars and restaurants and laundromats. Not the most scenic part of BKK and lots of large, gaudy 'Gentlemens Clubs' in the area, but overall pretty good. There's a mall with a good supermarket right near the Thailand Cultural Center Metro station.

As far as I can remember, I've stayed here more than 10 times. Normal bed in breakfast place. Price is decent. Location is very good on the main road. In between the Huay Kwang and Thailand Cultural Centre MRT line, both are at least a 500m walk.
Attractions include all the big and infamous massage parlours - Ceasars, Nataree, Emanuelle, Aliana, Poseidon. All in THAT area, so very accessible. Also conveniently located near the Huay Kwang night market and terrace so it's not such a dull neighbourhood. On the other side, there is the Big C and Robinson's mall. A little further down brings you to Esplanade Ratchadapisek.
Overall, rooms are clean, staff are friendly and price is cheap.
I hope they do some refurbishments though as age is catching up on the infrastructure.

We had appointments at the BIDC, which was literally next door. Very convenient for early morning appointments and lots of shopping nearby. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The subway is about a ten minute walk away and taxis are always available. There is also a nice little restaurant right next door as well. All in all a good place to stay.

The Mini R is the only place to stay if you are getting dental work done. It is in the same complex as the dental hospital which means a 30 second walk to your room after treatment. I had multiple appointments per day due to my short stay and would not have been able to cope if not for having the Mini R close by to have mini rests during the day.
The hotel itself is clean; the rooms are large and staff friendly. I found the beds extremely hard; however find this to be the norm in asia. Included breakfast not so great. There is a nice restaurant down stairs who are understanding to the fact that most patrons have had painful dental work done. I had their soups and soft pastas. Train Station is close by. It is a little hard to get taxis to and from Saigon Square (Shopping Complex). Most taxi drivers refuse to take you. Before you leave, ask the receptionist to write both your destination and return address down in Thai as most taxi drivers do not know the attractions and hotel by English names.
In summary, it is the only place to stay if getting dental work done, however I would choose somewhere else next time if going for a shopping/sight seeing trip due to location.

Very far from the malls and most of the cab drivers do not know where is the mini ratchada hotel even though we've given the address of the hotel in thai words for them. We booked 3 nights but we cancelled the rest after 1 night stayed there.
