Hotel is a great city view in Bangkok and BRT Station is in front of the hotel which is very convenience to go everywhere. Rooftop restaurant is nice and good service from restaurant staff. Price is reasonable
The only good thing is the staff are helpful. It's not convinced this hotel is under "Anantara" brand (Feb 2019). However, now I check again it seems not Anantara brand any more. The hotel promotion photos can't match correctly to the actual rooms and facility. The room and facility is truly old, and smell bad in the bedroom. The hotel location is also far away from MRT and other transportation spot. However, you can use grab to call the taxi. It's very noisy because there are several construction is ongoing and feel so noisy. The TV is horrible and can't enjoy any TV programm due to the few channels and poor resolution quality. It'll be the last hotel I would like to stay in Bangkok, because this hotel is arranged by the business partner.
We came to Bangkok as part of our trip around Thailand booked through Trailfinders. First impressoins walking through the doors were 'wow'. It is beautiful, with lovely waterful type lights hanging from the ceiling, large foyer and very welcoming staff behind the front desk. Very attentive consierge took our bags and we were shown to our room quickly, nice to have a speedy check in after the long flight. The room was lovely, so spacious and extremely clean. Mattress on the bed was a little bit too firm but sheets were light and clean, the bathroom was lovely with a huge waterfall shower cubicle and deep bathtub. The room service staff at this hotel have to get a special mention. They cleaned the room thouroughly every day, even folding any clothes we had left out. They also renewed our towles each day and made towel animals each time. They were amazing, we had towel bunnies in the bathroom and towel giraffes, elephants and even a turtle and armidillo once arranged in different scenes on the bed every day. It became a surprise we looked forward to each day. We were all inclusive and the food options in the dining hall are amazing. so much fresh fruit, typical continental breakfast but also such a lovely selection for a good fry up. They also have a noodle soup station where they cook the noodles fresh in front of you and you pick your added veg and spices. It was so amazing i had it nearly every morning. The juice selections are so varied, even having papaya, guava, coconut etc among the normal juices. There was just so much to choose from. And the pool was awesome with concktails by the pool that were so tasty. Honestly the best hotel i've ever been to. The only unfortunate thing is that it is out of the way as its in the financial district so not many attractions or places to visit around. But the tuk tuk services and taxis and so plentiful and the front desk will arrange any travel arrangements for you so not too much of a bother. Its also very close to Lumpini park which i highly reccomend for a peaceful walk in nature.…
Stayed here for 3 nights in February. The hotel is nice with good facilities. The rooms are nice and well equipped. Concierge and guys at the door are very helpful when arranging taxis. The ground floor bar Happy Hour is great value as the drinks are very very expensive. Zoom bar is a must see, it's pretty special. The location is fine if you are confident traveler and don't mind getting tax's, sky trains or tuk tuks.
Great and quite cheap hotel with swimming pool. Near Patpong. Good service. There is not so much noise and everything is near. You can order taxi or take Skytrain if You dont want to go with tuk tuk. Good breakfast available.
We had a apartment it was four people as it was our last night we had been travelling around Vietnam and had to get a connecting flight home from Bangkok, we got it at a cheap price for £94 for the one night, the hotel was amazing local to shops, restaurants and bars the pool and spa was really Good, this was in 2016 not the date above.
Hotel is within the business district and the exterior doesn't match the interior which i couldn't fault. Checking in was easy with helpful staff and we booked a 2 bedroom suite which was close to the top and unbeatable views across the city. Suite had everything we expected including two bathrooms. There is a gym which is good for a hotel and the spa also was great. The pool had plenty of sunbeds and was a nice cool temperature considering how hot it was during our visit. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise and on one night there was a DJ with plenty of dancing going on. Breakfast was wide ranging and plentiful. We ate one evening in the restaurant which was also fine for what we wanted. Location does mean you need to take taxis but these are low cost. Overall, great hotel for a low cost.…
we had a great room on the 33 floor (38 to the top) with great views of the city. Sky Bar was fantastic, staff were excellent, polite and very helpful at all times.. the cleanliness of the hotel was next to none...we had to stay here an extra 2 days as our onward journey was out of bounds, couldn't have wished for a nicer hotel to be in. Wasn't quite close to the main area but just a 200 yard walk to the sky-train and a 5 minute ride to the main shopping areas. Would definitely stay again
We hadn’t originally intended to stay at The Anantara Sathorn due to its location but there was a mix up between my friends and I so we did end up here. I can’t find fault with the hotel itself. The rooms are large and comfy with lovely bathrooms, the pool is great for chilling out by (although only has sun until about 3pm) and the roof bar was fantastic - unbelievable views and good cocktails! The only negative for me was the location as it didn’t seem near to anything, however taxis are cheap and tuk tuks are great fun so there’s still a positive in there! Bangkok was the 1st stop in 16 night stay in Thailand and as cities go it was everything you’d expect and more - busy, colourful, entertaining, friendly, warm and welcoming!
We really enjoyed our two night stay here. We booked a large suit for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. Lovely and helpful service, especially the lady on the tour desk at reception was very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. And the roof top bar was a wonderful place for a cocktail and sunset viewing. Perfect pool area too. Really recommend as location was just right to get to all the sights of the city.
