Next to the SKYTRAIN, "7-11" and SPAs next-door.
Fresh über-clean rooms and above-average rapid free Wi-Fi. It's not wise to open the windows as they are facing the Sukhumvit road and the SKYTRAIN lines, nevertheless you would't, normally, need to: the aircon. is perfect.
Don't take the breakfast unless you really need to, for it is below-average. Climb to the SKYTRAIN and visit a foodcourt in one of the near-by shopping malls (TESCO towards the airport, SIAM CITY in the direction of the centre).
Staff is actually friendlier than usual.
Basically, a well-kept three-star plus hotel to recommend!

If I mentioned that we bought a cake as thank you to the hotel staff, you should get the idea how pleased we were, and that this was a real gem of a hotel. This review is long but should answer all those little questions I was wondering about before our trip..................

The Welcome is warmer than any 5 star hotel – they rush to the door to help you in, warm smiles all round and welcome drinks at reception as you go through the booking in process, in itself quick and simple and baggage taken up to your room.

The deco is in design, artistic, minimal, funky but not fussy and good fun looking around – from the comfy little coffee shop on the ground floor, the digital art in the bedrooms, amusing pillow case designs, right down to the lovely teapots on the rooftop terrace. The hotel is only 6 months ‘old’ so everything is relatively brand new, and the staff seems very committed to keeping it that way.

Location
If you take a public metered taxi from the airport, and 20mts later you are at the hotel.

Step out of the front door of the hotel, turn left, walk 2mts and you are at the Sky Train (Phra Khanong) A 10 mts ride and you are in the heart of Bangkok (Siam etc:) Sometimes we popped back and forth to the hotel 2- 3 times a day, with shopping or for siestas, so don’t think that the hotel seems out of the way when you look on the City map – 10mts that’s all it takes. 24hrs Family Mart shop next door to hotel for essentials like snacks drinks etc. Walk past the stairs to the Sky Train, and on your left is two eateries / cafes serving tasty meals. Ds67 is open 24 hrs with a night security guard on the door at night, so you can come back as late as you like.

Rooms
We initially stayed for three nights on the 4th floor, facing on to the main road and did not find the traffic outside of any great concern – fair enough, its not sound proof but in no way disturbing to your sleep.

After a tour around Thailand , we retuned, and stayed on the 5th floor this time facing the side road for 8 nights. We loved this room the best because of the of ‘ Bangkok at night’ theme. Room size adequate, as long as you not expecting armchairs and writing desks.

Flexible daily House keeping, with fresh towels, crisp bedding, dressing gowns and disposable slippers for room use, complimentary water bottles, mini sweets, and basic toiletries - hairdryers and plug adaptors provided on request.

The room itself, fresh and clean – there is a safe, mini fridge, phone, flat screen TV (HBO/Discovery in English), dressing table with stool and large mirror, spotlights, wardrobe and shelving. Shower in bathroom medium pressure, water seemed hot enough (never took a hot shower so honestly can’t say) with soap and shower gel dispensers.

Breakfast
Served on the Roof Terrace which is a great sun trap. It is partially open to the outside by columns on the outside walls, with a roof, but neither dusty nor humid as I had envisaged. Nice to hear the dull hustle and bustle of Bangkok down below while enjoying your breakfast in the sun from above.

The main meal tends to be a slice ham, a frankfurter sausage, and two fried eggs - always accompanied by freshly squeezed juice, tea, coffee, toast (butter & jam), and fresh fruits. But during our first three mornings here, we were served noodles, and then rice the next day which made a refreshing change to those guests staying at the hotel for more than three days – as a breakfast inclusive of the room price, this is perfectly adequate and reasonable. It is served to you within 5mts of seating, and with friendly staff nearby if ever you would like more juice, toast and tea.

After breakfast, the Terrace becomes available for sunbathing as it has lacquered wooden flooring and floor cushions available.

Sight seeing / tours etc
The staffs are courteous to ask if they maybe of assistance in recommending transport, venues, eateries etc. For example, they cautioned us to stay away from certain parts of Bangkok with the recent political demonstrations. When we wanted to go to the cinema in Siam , recommended we go on a Tues when it was cheaper, where the supermarkets were, and easiest way to get to certain venues.

When we wanted to go to Ayutthaya for the day, the floating market, and Bridge over the river Kwai, they gave us tour company options and then even mange to under cut those prices and got us a car and a driver that took us to exactly where we wanted to go, and not having to stop numerous times at attraction that held no interest to us.

When we had to checkout, they called us a metered taxi and gave us a warm send off. A Home from Home! Thank you DS67 for making our stay wonderfull !

It has already been our second stays but we will return back of course. A small cozy place with very helpful staffs.. Great for the value of money charged for the room, and the location is ideal to get around. Whenever we have any questions or requests for something they have been very prompt in their responses to sort out things for us.

We would stay here again and probably will in a few weeks when we return to Bangkok before flying out of the country. You cannot beat the location and price!

pros: the staff was super friendly, breakfast did the job, there was security at night, safe in the room, wifi was reliable, location was excellent, coffee shop downstairs was convenient and there was a 7-11 right next door, just a quick walk (2 mins) to BTS and maybe 5 minute walk to many food and shopping options

cons: (if I have to be nit-picky) the key slot (to activate electricity) flashed all night, air freshener (diffuser) in the room was overpowering (we wrapped it in 3 shopping bags and hid it behind the toilet and it still smelled strongly)

Stayed here 28/12/14-03/01/15 and again 13/01/14-14-01/15 and its more than adequate for the solo traveller. Personally I did not mind being a bit away from the Khoa San Rd or Nana Plaza.

Yes as indicated the room is small but I felt ideal for me and its clean. The safe, television ( not that i watched it much) and the air con were all fully functional as expected but I would agree with a previous poster about it being a little dark. The WIFI at times wasn't great either.

Take a left outside of the hotel and within 100 yards you were at the BTS station of Phra Khanong ideal for transportation into the city. The hotel reception can provide you with a BTS card which you take still sealed to the station where they activate it for you for use all day on the day of purchase, cost 150 baht. Take a right out of the hotel and at night within 100-200 metres you will find street sellers cooking up good street food or walk about 500-600 metres and you'll find KFC, Macdonalds a very decent coffee establishment ( the coffee club) where you can also get a very decent meal. For me this place was ideal. My expectations weren't overly grand I got what I paid for and was perfectly happy. The girls on reception are lovely and very friendly and helpful however the one guy I saw ( not the German gentleman) wasn't particularly friendly or approachable but I wouldn't let him spoil the enjoyment I got from my stay, he does however, need an attitude adjustment. The little old man as in the night guard is a lovely fella too and equally as helpful as the girls.

This was my second stay at ds67 suites. ( my first was in jan 2001) I must admit that the hotel is showing some signs of ware but it is still in good condition. You simply can't go past this place for price, locality and friendly staff. It is seconds from the skytrain which can get you to lots of gat places in Bangkok. The beds are large ( more like a king size). Free wifi and the breakfast fills u up enough until lunch. We stayed three nights and were served the same breakfast every morning but we didn't mind as the rooms were cheap and breakfast was included. If u are traveling the Bangkok and want a place to stay right in the middle of town this is your place!

Me and 3 friends stayed here in early June 2011. The service was INCREDIBLE. Everyone in the staff was right there for you for whatever you needed, whenever you needed it. Every time you approached the door, everyone in the front desk/cafe would stop what they were doing just to greet you, by now I have forgotten their names, but everyone was incredible. There was this girl who we joking-ly nicknamed grins.. she had the BIGGEST MOST AMAZING SMILE and you could tell it was from the heart. The manager would ask us every day how our previous day adventure was and he'd recommend what to do that day, HE WAS SPOT ON EVERY TIME! He knew exactly where to send us.

The rooms were a decent size and a very modern and sleek design. Everything was super clean and well taken care of. The beds were a little firm, but they were firm everywhere in Asia we stayed in, so we happily dealt with it. The one thing we disliked.. and it's really a stretch, the bathroom sink was a little difficult to operate.. but really, I'm saying the sink was a slight problem, that's how good this place was.

This is how good the service is... When you check in, they offer you a cold Thai tea drink (which we later learned happened in most places we stayed in Thailand), which by the way, ds67 had the best one. Then the next day, during their complimentary breakfast, they offered orange juice and coffee. I asked if I could have the Thai tea again and the girl reluctantly apologized because she could only offere OJ or coffee for free, I would have to pay for the tea. I said it was okay and I would take the OJ. The next day, she said she was so sorry she didn't give me the tea the day before, but she had talked to the manager and we could have it complimentary. I said it was okay and I would just take the OJ (Me thinking it'd be difficult for accounting or whatever) she insisted with a huge smile, and I took their fabulous tea, again.

We all got a complimentary 1 hour thai massage which was pretty great. They also have complimentary internet for any devices you may need. The location is great, only about half a block from the BTS station. Yes it's busy and a little noisy, but it's Bangkok, what did you expect? The area is around it is a little dark at night, but we never felt insecure. They have a security guard in the front door waiting to greet you too every evening.

Our itinerary forced us to come back to Bangkok one last evening before returning to America, and we decided to stay at the Westin because we had some rewards we could cash... BIG MISTAKE. We wish we had stayed again at DS67. Service goes a long way for us, and the most glamorous room at the WESTIN could not have been better than DS67. The service of a small local hotel was well beyond an international chain.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. INCREDIBLE SERVICE. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This hotel located on Sukhumvit road at Sukhumvit 67 alley that you can walk to BTS Phakhanong station around 5-6 min. Easy to catch a taxi from the road in front of hotel, next from lobby is hotel coffee shop that it a place you can sit to take your breakfast and next to hotel is minimart 24 hours.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Clean room but quite small shower area, comfortable bed, you can ask for cleaning everyday if you want.
But I have to agreed that BTS noisy and road in front of hotel quite annoying but we still can sleep, we stayed there 4-5 nights.
And you will disappointed if you high expected with hotel breakfast because there is only tea-coffee, cereal, milk, yogurt, bread with jam and banana, hello !!! This is budget hotel.. So I'm ok with it.
