The good, close to BTS, and in BKK that means close to most things. Small (pokey) room but the room itself was clean and the bed comfortable. It was next to where I was working and I got a good rate. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The bathroom needed a good scrub. There really is no excuse for mould... More

I stayed in this hotel for a few night on a business trip to Bangkok, but will never do this again in this hotel. This hotel is genuine Thai wasp nest of gossip and laster. The staff tries to get you into things you do not want to get involved with while the rooms, service and catering is not really... More

This hotel's location in smack dab on the BTS system about 15 second walk from the Panom Phrom station--although it is 3 or more stops to the shopping and entertainment areas. I wanted to get out of the uber touristy areas and chose this place. The only foreigners you see are the expats who live here. The immediate neighborhood is... More

When I first reached Lilla, I was expecting a little more from its exterior. It looked like just another shop along the road. The room was pretty decent! There is a safe box, clean beds, closet and bathroom. The TV has few channels, all in Thai. The aircon has a mind of its own and regulates temperature according to day... More

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
