Luk Hostel & Rise Bar is a brand new travelers hub located in one of Bangkok’s main attractions: the iconic Chinatown. Immersed in a culturally vibrant area and right at the center of the famous food street called Yaowarat, you are sure to enjoy an authentic experience! Designed by and for travelers, Luk Hostel puts together modern architecture, complete facilities, Chinese cultural heritage, and an energetic atmosphere! Our completely renovated Chinese style building now counts with a new and impressive rooftop and glasshouse! We wanted to design the perfect place for travelers to meet, talk, share, work and eat, so we created our own bar and cafe, the Rise Bar.
I did not stay in the hostel, but the God of Grill Steak infront of this hostel, the phadthai and the pork steak is so good. When you are in the vicinity here, try it….very very good spicy too. The hostel lobby where you can eat is simple yet staff are very accommodating and very nice

We really enjoyed our stay at Luk Hostel. This location is a perfect central spot. We stayed in a private room and used the joint bathroom. The bed was rock hard but we got used to it. There was a swamp cooler in our room and that felt great after a long day in the humidity! The bathrooms were fine but I wish the had been a little cleaner. Since we didn’t pay much to stay here, I would say we got what we expected! Just wish the bed was comfier… Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap, average place to stay, we’d recommend it!

Really modern and clean hostel in the heart of Chinatown. Nice food market that we ate at a couple of evenings on the doorstep. Free breakfast included a little pancake truck outside. Nice beds. Would recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here. I wanted to stay near Chinatown and hostel is located 2 min walk from the Main Street that gets all the crowds at nighttime - convenient enough to walk and far away enough to not hear any noise :) there is a metro station nearby that I used for all my city commute. I stayed in a female dorm and made some nice connections in my dorm room and the rooftop. The staff was helpful and attentive and spoke good English:) Bathrooms clean regularly and good a/c in the room; beds with curtains for some privacy. Locked large space underneath the beds. Smart lighting solutions in the room - different lighting options provided so you can find your bags without waking up your roommates :) Would definitely recommend this hostel as a good base near Chinatown

The staff here is so helpful and the place is always clean. Air conditioning works great and the bathrooms and showers are really nice. The location is close to street market and many other places. If I return to BKK I will stay here again. Breakfast is good too. They always have plenty of food. No running out. I would highly recommend this place. I’m staying in a mixed 4 dorm and the people have been very courteous and not loud at night. The value for your money is great.

I have been to 5 different hostels in bangkok and this is the best one by far. Modern and brand new location, kind and helpful staff and clean common spaces. 24h reception is super efficient and the terrace on the rooftop is ideal to share a beer with other travellers before going to sleep. Highly recommended!!!!!

Being located near Yaowarat Road, the hostel is a perfect choice to discover Chinatown. The staff is very nice and helpful. You can also put your bag beneath your bed in a locker, instead of leaving it in the middle of the room. One bad point though, the toilets are not always clean, but I guess this depends more on the customers than the staff...

I stayed at luk solo, and with friends. Each time was great. The staff are so friendly especially Erin (think I spelled her name wrong). They helped my friend and I with things to do, places to go, where to eat etc. We stayed in the 24 bedroom and it doesn’t even feel like they have so many people in one room . I really enjoyed my stay here. Next time I come to bangkok this is where I will go. I would also say for a hostel this is really well kept. Always saw people cleaning, and even though some of the cleaning staff spoke very little English they always had a pleasant smile on their faces.

Stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm. Room was very clean each bed had a privacy curtain which was great. Only downside was no window in room so it was always dark and always needed light on. Showers and toilets where very clean. Common areas where nice and the bar done cheap food and drink. Only problem we had on the last night they turned of the air con in our room so was extremely stuffy and hot which made it impossible to sleep.
