This is our fourth visit to the Miramar Hotel in Bangkok. This was better than last time. Our room was on the 5th floor, (534) the room was located at the back of the hotel, over looking the coach /car park. The one downside was that the coaches would start up their engines at 6,45 with people shouting getting people to... More

We arrived and hotel is full so, they upgraded us to the largest one which is very nice with spacious bedroom and bed size. But, staff really not helpful. Can't connect to wifi, they come to the room and not solved at all. Really stress, we need to contact our family but no family at hotel? How come?! So far,... More

we visited the hotel at the end of our thai trip... everything was catastrophic... decoration, amenities, parsimony in distribution of all the consumables, room comfort, hopeless internet, insane architecture with never ending corridors, noisy clients... thank god the staff was quite nice and helpful!

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. Hotel rooms have no safes and any items you want kept safe are stored in easy sight behind the desk. We had a Samsung tablet go missing when items were "being kept safe". Staff are extremely unfriendly and couldn't care less about the guests. Rooms are basic and you only get one... More

After reading the previous reviews of this hotel, I was a bit hesitant to spend a night at this place.but since my friend had already booked the place, I had no option. So since I had no great expectations on the hotel, the stay was good. Only the wifi was weak and the rooms didn't have much plug points. The... More

We saw half a dozen bed bugs in less than 5 minutes... we told the staff and they didn't even care. Bed bugs are nocturnal it was only by chance that I saw them... it scares me to think how many nights I had already been sleeping with them before I realised. The lady at the reception at night is... The hotel is not as nice as pictures suggest but not horrible either. The location is a bit out of the centre but near bars and places for tourists (Khoa San road). Taxis and tuk tuks are available from outside the hotel. Reasonable price and was great for us for our one night stopover stay in Bangkok.

We chose this hotel for 3 main reasons, 1.major sightseeing places are 15-20 mins walk. 2. Indian Food is available within 6 mins distance. 3.This hotel has Suites with 2 king size beds in each suite. This made it easy for all of us friends to stay together in one room. Breakfast is superb. Staff is very friendly and helpful.... More

Friendly staff, held our bags for us on last day, offered to print boarding passes for free. Location is quite central, just a short 15-min walk from Khao Son Road. It's not a 4* per western standards, but it's definitely great value for money and a pleasant stay.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. After seeing nive pics we decided to book zhis hotel for our stay in Bangkok. What we've seen doesn't find right words: the room was full of cockroaches, even in the bed and under the matress!!! The breakfast was under average and we found half cooked chicken bodies just liing on a cupboard... More

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
