Great hotel if looking to stay on Khao San Road which is very lively at night. Clean, good air con and fresh towels every day. Restaurant however is very poor. There is a 500 baht deposit required to be paid at check in which we weren't aware of, however this was returned on check out. Great hotel and would definitely...

This hotel is for sure suitable for people who plan to visit koh San road. The room is a basic Thai room with a huge shower which was nice. The hotel had a yummy (and big) buffet breakfast. Also had a beautiful rooftop patio (with a pool) where you can grab a cocktail. My only issue was the noise at...

The hotel is really on one of the noisiest streets of the world. Even if your room is not fa ing the street you will here the beat of the street bars of the most famous pedestrian street in Bangkok till 2 a.m. Ear plugs will not help much. The hotel has 24/7 security and reception. The staff is polite...

Very good hotel. On the lively khoa san road. Not too noisy if you get a room at the back. Right in the heart of backpacker central. This isnt a budget hotel on the same scale of most in bangkok. But if you are happy to spend a little more. You will defo be happy with it. Good breakfast, nice...

The Dang Derm Hotel is a nice, clean hotel right there in the middle of all the action on Khao San Road! Their prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Although I wouldn't say that their breakfast buffet is the best, it is still very enjoyable and fulfilling. I really like the swimming pool and outdoor bar...

If you plan on spending time in and around khaosan road it's a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and well air conditioned. Perfect for a group of friends or for couples interested in partying. Rooftop pool is nice to cool down with a few beers in the heat

The hotel is in a good location on koh san road, the rooms are nicely designed. Ours faced in toward a covered light well, the room was severely affected by dampness and smell was very unpleasant. The basin was cracked. The pool is lovely. Overall I would find some where else for the price it is run down

We stayed for 2 nights and right at the check-in the receptionist asked whether we prefered front view (to the Khao San Rd) or back view (no special view). We chose the front one but she notified us several times that it´s very noisy and whether we are sure of our choice. We insisted but when we returned to our...

We booked this hotel for finishing our Thai trip in Bangkok in a relax way and visit the town highlights. Arriving in the reception, a lot of people were waiting their checkin and with only 2 persons behind the counter, it took a while before getting our key. Also a 500bht deposit has to be payed.. Room is very basic,...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
