The staff a rude and have very bad English with the exception of one nice lady. The feeble fan does nothing to stop the filthy rooms turning into a sauna. The cockroaches seem to be the only happy and welcome guests here. Spend a little more somewhere else and you will get a lot more.

Stayed here in January 2016. Seen some reviews about the staff but disagree completely. They were more than helpful. Reception always staffed and happy to help. Restaurant sells very cheap and delicious food open most of the day. Fridges always full and ready to serve beer at anytime. Rooms contained bed and fan, very basic but reflected in price. Good... Hotel is ok at best. The reception staff are fairly friendly. The rooms are small, but seem clean. The water leaks out of the handbasin onto the floor. Hotel is ok, thats all. To be honest, at this price they all seem pretty much the same. I would spend some more money and stay in a nicer hotel.

basic badget room with air condition, in a quiet location near koah san road, the bed was ok, with some shelfs to put staff would be nice. We spend one night at the begining and one night at the end of the trip, both times in the same room :)

Worst place in Thailand to stay at. Horrible quality room bathrooms are dirty, price is cheap but must pay extra for bed sheets, towel ect. Most of all staff was extremely rude. If you are in bangkok i recommend you go somewhere else

Friendly thay family, we´ve been 4 time there and will comeback. You can made the check-in anytime. The guest house is very near to kaos and road. There´re diferents rooms, for 1 person, 2 people...with or without fan or a/c. the beds are confortable. The price is from 150 bats to 450 bats. Moreover there´s a bar/restaurant and travel agency.

The location is great as it is next to a row of good sidewalk restaurants and bars, near Khao san road, the river and tons more shops/restaurants by the river bank. Room itself is acceptable given the low rate. Bathroom arrangement leaves a lot of room for improvement. However, the worst part of this hostel is the staff attitude. You'd... More

Sitdhi is a great place to stay in Bangkok. There are cheap fan rooms (150 Baht no window, 250 Baht with a window) + clean shared showers that have hot water, a/c rooms with an attached bathroom for an O.K price as well (400 Baht). Guests who want to bring a friend to stay overnight will pay extra (100 Baht).... More

Stayed ther for its price, but regreted after the service. The staff is really unfriendly, they even charge for the luggage storage. After check out, if you need to have a shower you need to pay extra 20baths,... Beds are pretty bad too, i will not come back here again. They need to learn how to treat people and be... More

Perfect place when passing through. Rooms are cheap and clean. Beds are a bit hard and they dont ha A/C only fans. But i prefer fans anyway. The guest house is 2 min walk from Khao San Road. If youre there try the secret passage, short cut. If you can't find it, ask for it. You'll love it. If youre... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
