Detailed Reviews
The room was the real highlight, lots of space, clean, good layout, nice bathroom, good Air con and great cable channels. Clean bed linen and towels, soft pillows - as in most places in Thailand - hard bed.
Cleaning staff was great, always give you fresh towels and rooms are spotless.
Wifi worked very well from the room and it's totally free of charge as advertised. Breakfast was also good with Lots of fruit!! Staff at reception was lovely, very friendly and ready to help.
You can walk for 5 minutes in safe streets and reach the subway (MRT) that will connect to BTS sky train or take you most places.
Nearby the hotel you hav great massage places for very good price, try a foot massage at Yukko... Just Wonderful!!!!
Overall GREAT value, for only $30AUD you can't do better in Bangkok.

Stayed there for 4N3D in March 2013. Rooms are very spacious and clean. They provide in room massage also. However be careful as housekeeping can change your towels or bedsheets with the dirtly one(with black stains etc) and if you do not inform the reception immediately, you have to pay 100baht while checking out per dirty Clothe. We faced similar issue. That was really rediculous. This hotel is in streets so first time its difficult to find.Hotel also provide free wifi and internet at lobby.
Also maximum taxi drivers and local people do not know English, so its will be very difficult to communicate.
The location is very near to Fortune mall. Its walking distance to Rama9 MRT. However not much Indian restaurant at this location. Its better to stay at Siam (for more night life, malls) or ChitLom BTS station or Pratunam market (For more Indian restaurant and food).
Taxi fare normally for any location range from 200-300 baht. Very few taxi drivers go by meter.
Tuk Tuk is nice but they also charge same as taxi. So better to go in taxi rather than Tuk Tuk as you get ac in taxi. But one time experience in tuk tuk is good .

I stayed there for few days and I was very pleased. The location ws perfect for what I was looking for (easy acess to bts or mrt, 5min walk). The room is big, comfortable, bright... as shown on the pictures. staff nice enough... Internet free in the room and quite good.
the only negative thing I can think about was that there were ants in the room and I asked staff to spray it... so not a big deal.

ZERO complain! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is really good. Just 5-10 minutes walk to Phra Ram 9 MRT station. Also there are many local food joints, 7-Eleven, Fortune shopping center and Thai massage shop "Spa Yuko" just few minutes walk away. I wanna recommend this "Spa Yuko". The Thai massage was fantastic! I went to there 5 times for 3 days. There are many kinds of massage and very cheap. Also you can have welcome drink and fresh fruit. "Spa Yuko" made me up!! If you stay at the Centric, try the Thai massage!!

Have stayed here twice before but not again. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Bathroom was good. 1st visit they would cook eggs as requested. Last visit, refused to cook anything other than fried eggs.
Location is fine as only 6-7 minutes walk to station. Main issue is that it has many Chinese tour groups and their manners are a disgrace. They have no consideration for other people. Unfortunately it appears the Chinese are visiting Thailand in greater numbers now which is bad news for everyone else.

The hotel location is very convenient just few minutes walk from Central Plaza and Pharam 9 MRT. Room is very spacious and clean. The breakfast is very good and the restaurant serves good food with a reasonable price.
The receptionist/front desk girl on the 20th August afternoon was really polite and customer friendly.

Big spacious room with good bed with nice breakfast. The hotel is located just couple of minutes from the nearest big mall. Plenty of local food near by. The room rates are reasonable and excellent house keeping and very friendly staff at the reception.

Good staff at both Front desk and breakfast lounge. I booked this hotel but the other one nearby which I usually stay was fully booked (Fortune).
The price was cheap, but poor cleanliness was not acceptable.

We stayed there for 2 weeks. The staff are extremely helpful and caring. The room is large, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was an excellent part of our stay. Wifi is everywhere and no problems at all. The hotel is in a perfect spot between the local area and market and the central grand Rama 9 & IT fortune town shopping malls. They will even drop you there in the golf cart! Thanks for a great time, the staff helped us so much.

When you travel on a budget, you don’t care much about the amenities provided by the hotel. Facilities and customer service has the secondary influence on your decision. It is a bonus if the hotel turns up to be high quality and the staff cares about you as their client.
And that is how I feel about the Centric hotel in Bangkok. At 1000 Baht a night, I can assure you that you are getting more that you pay for. Although, I would normally give five stars on experience I had in this hotel, the value makes is an excellent choice for travellers with a limited cash available.
The location was excellent for my purpose. It is difficult to specify in Bangkok, what good location is. It is subjective, based on your needs. I needed a hotel close to the link with the airport. The hotel is located about 10 minutes-walk from the Makasan Airlink Station or MTR Phetchaburi. It is not difficult to find, it is close to local markets and restaurants with a good size and quality meal for 50-100 Baht. It’s close to massage parlours; in fact one is located inside the hotel, run independently in one of the room with room service option. You can get a massage in the area for as low as 100 Baht for one hour. 7/11 is less than 2 minutes-walk. If you want some big time shopping, there is a shopping mall around 5 minutes-walk from the hotel.
I didn’t use the hotel’s own Japanese restaurant at all hotel’s restaurant, no comments about that. However, it was empty most of the time I saw it.
The room size is decent, there is a quiet fridge refilled every day. The air-condition is efficient though a bit loud. The bathroom is clean, toiletries refilled everyday as well as new towels are given every day. The shower is not the highest quality. The house keeping staff is efficient and does not disturb guests. The room and hotel lack of décor and design. The Wi-Fi is free but rather poor quality, speed is good but it disconnects frequently for 2-3 seconds. The mattress is comfortable and sheets are changed every day.
In conclusion, if I paid more for the hotel, I would be less satisfied. The price makes up for all the inconvenience. If I go to Bangkok again in the future on a budget trip, I will probably accommodate myself in this hotel.
