There are many many pluses staying in this hotel including big spacious rooms ( 77 sq m ) with separate sitting areas, balconies in the rooms facing either the greenery with lake or the city skyline, very reasonable room rates and excellent food. The food at the Dustin Gourmet is yummy living up to the standards of the Dusit Catering College. As the all suite hotel has less than 100 rooms, service by staff was excellent and personal. Amenities provided in the room include a microwave,a medium size fridge, a hot beverage machine and some cutlery making our stay like home. Access to the major shopping malls in downtown was easy either by walking or the MRT. This is not a new hotel ( the former Anantara hotel) which has undergone some upgrade renovations. However there are some common areas that looked dated and need some action by management.…
We have stayed in this hotel twice over the past weeks. We are expatriates, living in Bangkok and as we decided not to travel abroad this summer, we have had an opportunity to stay in some local hotels during the summer months. Our first booking at the Dusit Suites was for two nights at the end of June and we liked the place so much that we made a further booking to stay a whole week on the second occasion. The hotel has a lot to offer as the rooms are very spacious; ours had a large bedroom, an open planned living and dining area with a small kitchenette and balconies leading off both these main rooms. The bathroom contained a shower and a deep soaking bath. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony as it is in front of a lake, but this is framed by many tower blocks which lighten the horizon each evening. The cable tv is excellent for any British traveller has it has a wide range of English film channels, BBC News and BBC lifestyle. The hotel is conveniently situated next to a BTS station and all of the shops of the nearby malls. The staff at the hotel are lovely and cannot do enough to help. We had several room service meals and also ate in the restaurant; the quality of the food is very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.…
Our room was very good with plenty of space. Extra pluses were good size deep bath, very good AC, BBC World on the TV and also BBC Prime with plenty of film channels, very good and comfortable bed. We had 2 balconies one for the bedroom and one for the living room, both good size to sit out and interesting view over the lake area with trains in the distant and the King Power building. Kitchen had convector microwave, large fridge and plenty of necessaries like corkscrew/cutlery etc. The location is ideal to get to Villa Market and restaurants 3mins away. To get to, you need to walk left on leaving the hotel and through a cut through alley everyone uses. Once there, Villa Market opposite and 6 or 7mins up the road to the malls and main area. The hotel downstairs cafe area is very good quality and reasonable priced. All the staff from reception area to room service and pool are very polite and nice. The only thing to note is that the pool area has very minimal sun area so if you like to have a full 'sunbathe' you would struggle to do so. All in all, lovely place. We spent 2 nights there as a 'staycation' for us and have just booked another 7 nights there as it was very relaxing, yet everything you need shopping wise on your doorstep when you want to do so and at short distance.…
Have been visiting this property for several years now and the location is what make sit stand out. Close proximity to BTS, Soi Langsuan and the park is unbeatable. I disagree with an earlier reviewer that Dusit management is better than the original Anantara. On my last trip, I found many of the common areas lacking the sparkle and shine of Anantara. Staff are excellent, though all completely new and none of the earlier Anantara staff who were exceptional. The pool has much less greenery, the spa beds in the pool were broken, gym floor stained and pool bathroom and shower unkept. Also, the entire building needs its windows washed (something I noticed was rarely done even under Anantara management). Just a bit of polish and this place would shine once again!
Dusit Suites are well worth money. All facilities were good from room service to Swimming pool and spa. Late checkout was provided on request. We had a 2 room suite, very spacious and maintained. The only negative is not everyone knows about it. During our stay all Taxi drivers and Tuk Tuk drivers went to old hotel first. Dusit need to advertise this property better.
