I’m still waiting for my refund since May 2020, originally saying that the hotel was closed. I had contacted them again a couple of months after they reopened to follow up, and wait around a month for each reply from them to say they need more time to process the refund. Now, they have changed it to a voucher for a stay by Nov this year.
Mr. Ple, the concierge, was always so helpful... My third time staying at Novotel Silom and each time no stress... I would recommend this very affordable hotel for anyone visiting Bangkok... The entire staff is very courteous, most speak good English, even the housekeeping staff... I had some special requests which were handled with ease... thanks to all !
We visited this hotel for 2 times, first we stayed last month 2 rooms, the front desk manage me and my friends to stay the room next to each other even we are not request befor. Second, we visit the hotel again this month and it the same period of long holiday, the staffs can provide us a good service as the same even they seem very busy all the time. Thank you
Firstly, I will say that this is by far the cheapest ACCOR hotel i have ever stayed ($311aud for 7 nights on trip.com) The first room i stayed in was tiny, as i expected, (you could flush the toilet from your bed!) room 1914, nice view and plenty storage, the t.v. had 3 or 4 English speaking channels, fair enough. I went to the pool area, my initial reason for moving to this hotel, but the pool was green and murky, i complained to reception and requested a bigger room for the inconvenience. The staff here are very good, and i received an upgrade to a much bigger room , with the same view on level 17, also the pool was blue the next day, excellent. The reception staff seem to be overworked, but do their best to accommodate. My new room, even although bigger, had problems, there was a bad smell from the toilet, it had a light bulb out in the already dimly lit room, i asked staff to replace the bulb, but they brought me a big lamp instead, again thanks, to the staff. A light above the sink in the bathroom would flicker on and off. Strangely this room had zero English channels, about 20 Thai and 20 Indian channels (not sure how many Thai people use Novotel?). The aircon in the gym didn't work. The cleaning staff do not clean the rooms, the table had not been wiped down and the paper thin carpet had definitely not been vacuumed in two days (I am writing this review after 2 of my 7 days). I had tired of complaining by this point, and just put up with it. Back to the cheap price of the hotel, the lobby is nice, the pool and gym are OK, the reception staff are nice, location is O.K. To summarize this hotel needs a good clean and some updating. This is very evident as soon as you exit the lift to your room, again stained/worn carpets everywhere. , The rooms are no different, with old broken furniture and dead carpet, I would not walk bare foot on this carpet. The bedding needs replaced along with many other things. AN ACCOR hotel at this price is crazy, however there are better lesser known hotels nearby for the same price, in much better condition (Furama Silom is a 10 minute walk further up Silom Road. I would not stay here in the future.…
The Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood but City Center is easily accessible. Services right from Check-in to Check-out are extremely poor. People manning Front Desk & Housekeeping are unprofessional. We booked 2 Rooms for 3 family Members. Intercom in both the Rooms were non-functional from Day 01. After repeated persuasions it was restored after 5 days. Rooms were not regularly cleaned, Linens, Towels, Toiletries were not replaced/replenished. I do not recommend this Novotel, Silom Road (Novotel has other units Bangkok) to travellers.
From the moment of check-in till check-out a great experience good breakfast, good location, clean and comfortable. Exceptional hotel, Mr.Earth from Front office is very nice service, warm welcome upon arrival, Thank you. Highly recommended.
I am happy to stay in this hotel with helpful staff and the good location. Taste is always helpful and nice staff. The good service.I will come back for next time for sure with my friends. See you next time
Great location and really nice service, spacious room good Breakfast so easy access to the Elevate Metro . I want to mention those employees that help me to do it my stay Great, Front Desk : Tatae she was Fantastic , the same Shampoo. Thank you I'll be back
The room is very disgusting. See photos attached. Went to the lobby to show them all these photos and they dont seem surprised at all and just told me that they will change my room. They moved me to a different room but its just the same dirty and smelly room with so many molds and stains. do not ever stay in this place. Its so horrible. The last two photos are the supposed replacement. Like it shouldn’t even be considered as an accommodation. Stay away from this place.
I recently stayed at the hotel on the nights of the 12th and 13th of June and have stayed there on many previous occasions. It was clear that the hotel had only just reopened. Everything about the stay was excellent. The Front of Office Manager, Shampoo, was exceptionally helpful and we were upgraded to a suite room in view of my accor status. It turned out that during the pandemic I had in fact been speaking to Shampoo on a number of occasions about possible previous bookings and she had been similarly very helpful. It was good to get the opportunity to thank her personally. The restaurant wasn't open when we stayed but apparently will be opened soon. The breakfast was very good. All in all a very good stay.
