This is a lovely oasis of calm, set in beautiful gardens with pool and very nice spa. The owner/manager David is friendly and high profile , helpful if you have any queries. He makes a point of getting around and speaking to all the guests each day. The staff are lovely, they looked after us very well. Our room, 110...

Everything was great in this hotel. Staff, Restaurant, Massage. It is a bit far from touristic places, but uber is helpful. Also, if you'd like to get public transport, is close to a sky train station. Have to say that the restaurant is really great. Best food we ate in Bangkok. Highly recommended!

This family owned boutique hotel is a lovely oasis tucked away on a side street in busy Bangkok. The entire facility, built in the 1940s, is charming with beautiful bedrooms and a welcoming inner courtyard with tables for meals by the pool. Both the owners and staff are very friendly and appear to enjoy visiting with guests. Handsome architecture with...

I stayed at this fantastic hotel on my way to and from a training camp. It turned out to be the perfect place to land in BKK to wind down before the camp, as well as winding down after the camp before 10-11 hours of flying back home. A real boutique hotel where the rooms have a very personal and...

Boutique hotel with all the extras. Previously a private villa this teak house is a wonderful change from the steel and glass chain hotels. Loved the welcome drink - butterfly pea tea. Restaurant serves delicious food and the owner looks like Sydney Greenstreet. Who could ask for more?

The Ariyasom Villa Hotel is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. My room was decorated with Thai art and furniture. The hardwood floors and ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom added to the coziness after a day of sightseeing. The staff was attentive, courteous and willing to go out of their way to provide...

It was such a relaxed place to stay in such a bustling city as Bangkok. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had everything necessary. The staff were very pleasant, happy and helpful. Great pancakes at breakfast too!

Our stay at Ariyasom Villa was nothing short of perfect. Having a few hiccups on our journey from Koh Kood which made attempts on dampening our spirits, arriving at this hidden oasis made all our first world woes float away. It was our honeymoon stay in transit back home and we were well received by a bed of rose petals...

After traveling twenty six hours to get to Bangkok this hotel was such a wonderful oasis to the start of our Thailand adventure. We stayed here two nights but were welcomed to check in early on the morning of our first night. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite the highest floor to a two level room over looking the...

Absolutely loved my time here! I came off of touring 18 days in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and could not have picked a better place to relax before heading back to the states. Bangkok is a crazy city but the peace and tranquility at Ariyasom are what make it so special. I rarely left the property and when I did...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
