Booked 5 nights in July. All was ok. Rooms, restaurant, possibility to have good advices regarding things to visit in Thailand. Many Service are proposed, and people are nice. 10 min to walk to the subway. I recommend.

We booked two nights with Kilroy before we left. They didn't mention it was a dorm room for 10, so we weren't too happy about that. I don't mind that much, but we travelled so long, we wanted some privacy and comfort. The bunkbeds were very hard, the aircon very loud and the showers not clean. Breakfast on the other... More

Due to booking with dutch travel agency we paid way more than we would if booked by ourselves. Shuttle pickup and drop off is a good service, breakfast good quality, had also nice dinner in restaurant but service was absent (servant was smoking outside all the time, couldn't pay hahaha). Rooms are small, wifi connection was good. If I would... More

Stayed here with friends for 2D/3N. We got the quadruple room with 2 queen size beds. It was well ventilated. We really liked our shower. It has soft spray even if we turn up the level. They have 24 hour reception service which can assist you even at the wee hours. Receptionist are very helpful. We got hungry at 2:30... More

I stayed here for two nights in a girls-dorm. It was a small room with no windows. The bunkbeds made a lot of noise.. The shared shower was cold, but that's oké, because of the humidity. I liked the fact that there is a restaurant with good and cheap food. Also the breakfast is nice with a choice of western... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in the Backpackit Fan room. The hostel is good value for what you get. The travel advisors are very helpful for anything you need to know, being it Bangkok, wider Thailand or surrounding countries. The restaurant here is good for breakfast -- buffet + cooked breakfast in the price. Hostel has... More

Very clean hostel and lovely friendly staff. DO NOT go budget on the fan room! It is not worth it! It's so hot you will not sleep!!! Get a room with aircon even if it is a sharing room! The tour company there go beyond are very helpful and not pushy about booking with them! Other than that very lovely... More

Nice clean room with hot shower and an amazing A/C. Nice vibe outside of the hostel that is located a bit away from the noisy streets. Restaurant was quick and good, and the staff (especially the local staff) was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was nice. Wifi was hit and miss. Would definitely stay here again!

Access to the Palace and big Wats is extremely easy (and scenic) using the river boat for about 1 USD. Everything else was pretty outstanding here. The Thai food is great at the restaurant downstairs, although if you want to switch it up theres plenty of local restaurants and cafes in the area. Clean dorms, (the pillars are like rocks... More

I found the value for the money (I paid 1400 THB/night) is excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English. The girls at "Go Beyond Asia" tour desk were very, very helpful and were very popular (so be prepared to wait). I managed to get on their Evening Walking tour of Chinatown and a last-minute cancellation allowed be... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
