We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. Rooms are lovely - comfortable, well equipped and light. The staff are extremely helpful, and their drink upon check in was the best we had anywhere. Breakfast is very expensive (unless you have it included in your room rate). However, there are a goo range of options (we particularly enjoyed the Thai breakfast), with the baked produce and drinks being particular highlight. I recommend thoroughly and would stay here again! A nice alternative to some of the 'soulless' giant hotels of central Bangkok and accessible at a reasonable price.
A lovely boutique hotel situated in a quiet street, though in the middle of the lively neighbourhood Thonglor. Friendly staff, good service and a wonderful breakfast. Locals tend to have lunch on the terrace - lunchroom Herringbone is part of Volve Hotel - which gives it a relaxed atmosphere. Our room was stylish, well equipped and had everything we needed.
A very cute boutique hotel a stones throw from BTS Thong Lo, lovely people working in reception and bar.Price wise very attractive and I really enjoyed the calm and cozy atmosphere, no long lines to breakfast or elevators as can be the case at many big fancy hotels. The drawback was the breakfast, it’s a la carte and there are several offerings which is nice buy the full english had one slice of bacon and one sausage.. next time I’ll ask for refill ☺️ Also coffee is made to order so a heavy coffee user like me would enjoy a self service station or a pot of coffee instead. Small self serve station with yogurt, bread, fruits and juices. Another drawback is the lack of a bum-gun in the toilet! This was the first time I saw a hotel without one here in Bangkok and I must say I really appreciate them these days 😉 The hotel is elegant, nicely decorated and the staff really lives up to the land of smiles!…
Hard to write it all down, so in short: we liked everything! This was actually the best and “most” perfect stay I ever had! The greatest deal of praise goes for the staff - wonderful, incredibly courteous and helpful, super-friendly etc. It is a real Design-Boutique-Hotel, every little detail chosen with great care and real sense for style. Breakfast was super delicious. Everything/everywhere was super clean... there is even a free mini-bar... Ah and the location is fantastic (central and touristic, but not the annoying mass-tourism). Looking forward to come back!!! Many thanks for giving us such a great stay, making us feeling home and happy!
Advantages; clean, good shower room, nice breakfast, free mini bar, quiet area, easy access to metro. What I did not like absolutely - awful front desk staff, the girl named Rose met us very bad. We arrived at midnight, very tired, with only one wish to check in as fast as possible but surprisingly this girl rejected to give us twin bedrooms room and despite all my requests to arrange twin instead of king, was stubborn and unresponsive. I traveled with my elder Mom and we were totally unable to sleep together. Only after I told her I had to call to booking , she suddenly changed her mind and our “trouble” was settled in a few minutes. Besides, after our arrival, 5 minutes later come the couple of tourists which surprisingly had been welcomed first and received much more attention. Why, why should you treat your guests differently?! That's the sort of arrogance you didn't expect totally. I usually try to escape the small hotels. Hardly this could happen in big chained hotels where staff is properly trained and clients’ requests are managed adequately.…
Volve Hotel is one of those properties that makes one feel at home. One of the rare hotels where I actually sleep very well and it helps that you can rock up to the breakfast area at 1030am and they would still be very happy to serve. Very charming interiors and what does it for me is its location. Aside from it being very close to the ThongLor BTS - It also sits between 2 of my favourite traditional Thai rice porridge restaurant (55 Pochana and Tom Moo Kiem Chai) Room toilets can be a bit dark but side from that, Volve is really quite a quaint little property that offers a lot
We just returned from a 2 week trip, traveling around Thailand. We made Volve Hotel our home base (we stayed there 3 times, as Bangkok was a launch pad to us for other places around the country). Volve was a perfect community-driven hotel away from the the more touristy areas of the city. The whole staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful, and the neighborhood was jam-packed with great local bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and concept shops...the hotel provided a wonderful map of all their favorite local haunts. Beyond this, Volve is incredibly well-designed, modern and comfortable. We loved it here and would recommend to anyone looking for something cooler and more boutique than the mega hotels of Bangkok.
Second time staying here and Volve still doesn't disappoint! Love the location which is only abt 250m from ThongLor BTS. I never have to take a taxi to anywhere as the hotel is well connected by public transport. There are lots of food choices around Volve as it is surrounded by many cafes and restaurants. The staffs are very friendly and always make you feel so welcome. Would definitely stay here again when I am back in BKK!
I've just returned from four nights at this wonderful hotel. The property is located only 3 minutes from Thong Lor BTS, which can whisk you into downtown, and also the same distance from Soi Thong Lor (Sukhumvit 55) which has so many excellent restaurants and laid back bars. The hotel is classed as boutique, and this is where it provides its value. The rooms are modern, clean and well proportioned, with the beds being super comfy, but the real value in this property is the staff. Each staff member was always quick to greet with a smile in the morning, show an interest in your Bangkok experiences, and welcome you back after exploring the city after a long day. They really couldn't have been more helpful. On one morning I had an early morning and wanted to have and early breakfast at 6.30am (the breakfast buffet doesn't open until 7am). The staff were super helpful in accomodating my request and the food was ready at 6.30am so I could leave the hotel on time. As an aside, although you're never short of good options in Bangkok, Volve Bangkok excels in providing tasty options, including excellent coffee, and always served with a genuine smile. If you're looking for classy, quality accommodation where the staff treat you like guests in their home, I can't recommend this hotel enough, and I personally can't wait to return! ขอบคุณครับ! …
This is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in. Period. It has a great location, just a walk away from the BTS metro station, and great local spots nearby. We stayed in the Studio Suite which was spacious, with a fantastic rain shower. They provide a nice array of snacks in the room that are free of charge. Breakfast in the morning was great with a good menu and small buffet as well. The hotel is very thoughtfully done with fantastic service. We will plan on staying again next time we are in BKK.
