We stayed at Marriot Marquis Bangkok for 5 nights and had a really good stay there. The M Lounge have the best choice of drinks and evening canapés. The staff were very attentive and helpful, especially Ms. AUM AIM who made our evening visits pleasant and enjoyable.
Returned to the Marquis, and it remains a fantastic hotel. Pros: the lounge and the executive lounge staff are just excellent. Friendly, helpful and also effective. Since staying in March, they have added in breakfast at the lounge which is very welcome given how busy Goji gets. The selection is smaller, but not having to wait or bump into people downstairs is worth it. Titanium elite recognition is good. Discounts on food and drink, as well as laundry pressing service. Given occupancy, and that I was long stay, no upgrades available, however the team compensated with a points/food offer which was proactive and I haven't seen anywhere else -- very good indeed. The rooms remain excellent. I wish there were baths in the King rooms, but if you value a bath book a twin room. The beds are huge anyway! Location fantastic, next to the park. Gym and pool brilliant, squash court is so welcome. And at no point do you really recognize how big this place is as everything is so personal. Cons: aside from the bath point above, none. It truly is a brilliant hotel, especially for how good value it is if booked in advance or for long stay. Cannot wait to be back. …
Not as nice as the promo pictures. The pool is quite small for a 5 star hotel and hotel décor generally dated, though their rooms seemed to have been updated. Service was inconsistent with the managers being very able, but the rest of the staff just aren’t so on the ball. We had luggage brought to our room that wasn’t ours, the showers were great but the shower screen leaks. We had a blocked drain in our room, but fortunately they changed our room the next day. Food is okay but not great. The gym is a fantastic size and well equipped. There are so many hotel choices in Bangkok I think this hotel needs to up its game to stay competitive.
I like this place so much, the room is clean and convenient. Goji kitchen food are delicious. And staff team from Lobby especially Fon and Oil are nice and take care all the time when we drank for last night and the taste of wine so good, we so happy to take our special time in here
The entire staff of the hotel was professional and performed at an outstanding level. Several went out of their way to help us. The cleaning staff that cleaned my room did an excellent job every time. The entire staff at the M club lounge, under the guidance of Kitty, Nut and Gift did a superb job at taking care and hosting the hotel guest. The cooking stuff in the lounge was excellent.
I don't normally write reviews but when you receive fantastic service it really should be mentioned. We stayed for 5 nights and from the moment we checked in to the day we left, the staff were welcoming, the room was spacious and relaxing and the buffet breakfast had so much selection and always updated and clean. My partner and I did the club room package and a special mention to our favourite staff member Mew who made our stay personal and was always friendly and really nothing was a bother and she is the main reason I am writing this because it's experiences like this that make it memorable. Thanks and well worth a visit. M & M from Sydney Australia
Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. To all lounge staff you are great team...Gift, thanks for arranging the cake and the Halloween photo shot. Sonya, I love your laughter and positive attitude. Mew, you are always so helpful. Archie, thanks for following up with my room request. See you all in December!
nice pool and breakfast buffet is really delicious and spacious, the only thing is during APEC week,it's really crazy at the lobby and front door, police car and security check is a bit annoying ,also inconvenient for guest cause they closed the back door to queens park
Good hotel with lots of amenities. The location was central to all stores and malls. Easy to get taxi and access to public transit. Staffs were supper friendly and courteous. The restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner has a lot of food selections.
I visited Bangkok countless times over the last 10+ years and as a long-time elite member starting with SPG and now Marriott, I stayed at 12 Marriott properties so far, ranging from Aloft to St. Regis. However, I never tried Marriott Queen's Park before, so when I visited Bangkok in August, I gave it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up staying at this hotel for about two weeks (my original booking was for two nights). And I liked it enough that when I visited Bangkok with family in October, I again stayed for six nights. Room: As an Ambassador member, I received an upgrade to the M Club 1 Bedroom Suite both times. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. I had no complaints. Lounge: Currently, only the Executive Lounge in the South Tower is open. I do not know if this is permanent or if they plan to re-open the one in North Tower but this lounge in the South Tower is one of the largest lounges I've seen. The lounge is open 24 hours, so it is wonderful if I want to grab water or tea late at night. The food offering and quality during the cocktail hours are also quite amazing. The basic spread of bread, salad, and fruit remain consistent but the main dishes and desserts rotate, so during my 2-week stay, I think I only had the same menu twice at most. However, I must say I was a little surprised that on some days when food ran out during cocktail hour, the kitchen staff did not readily replenish it even if there were about 30 minutes left. I assume this may be because there were more guests than they were expecting or something. However, this should not be the guest's concern. Anyways, what makes this lounge great is the staff. Everyone was very smiley, eager to assist, and offered prompt service. A lady named Baitong stood out because she remembered me from my visit in August and when I returned in October, she even remembered my drink preference (soda water with lots of lemon/lime juice)! A few other ladies also remembered and welcomed me back to the hotel. It was a very nice and warm welcoming gesture. Such simple yet memorable gestures are what make guests return, and I will certainly be picking Marriott Queen's Park again for my next trip. ----- However, there was one mishap on my day of departure. We put suitcases by the door and asked the concierge to put them in storage until we check-out. We then went for lunch and returned by check-out time (4 PM late check-out) to find everything removed from the room. They took shoes that were on the floor, sunglass that was on the desk, a backpack that had passports/cash, etc. We gave specific instructions to only take suitcases but they took everything, including loose items, then housekeeping cleaned and made up the room for the next guest. This was very odd because we did not check out of the room yet. No item was lost but the fact that the hotel moved guest's personal belonging like this was quite surprising.…
