One good thing is the location, other - rooftop pool. You can get everything you need aroud a hotel. The room was really smelly and definitely needs more attention from owners. Mattress was hard as rock. Of course the price wasnt so high.
We had a really bad experience. We booked the room through Booking and the pictures looked good, but when we got there we realised the don't show bathroom pictures in the website because the bathroom is very nasty, there is no real shower, just hose...More

The location of this hotel was great as you are right in the middle of Khoasan Road. I would definitely recommend it for those who are staying for a couple of nights as it did seem like value for money with an ensuite bathroom. The...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

When this happens to us we usually book that night at the hotel that you fly in even though you won't be there til say 230 in the morning, it'll be fine to check in when you get there, someone will be in the night shift. It's nice to go and have a bit of a sleep when you get in that late. Traffic won't be too bad that time of night so I'd say if you fly in by 1230 you would be at the hotel by 230am,possibly 2am if the airport is not too busy. Go downstairs at the airport and get a taxi, you take a ticket from a machine and go to that number marked in the taxi parking area and ask for Khao San Rd and Rikka Inn, tell them it's the burger king end if they don't know the hotel, you'll see the sign up high on the building.
