This was an absolute gem, tucked away in a little alleyway in a lovely garden and quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to some lovely sights although further from the big malls. Do print out the map as the taxi drivers can't find it! The room was small but so beautifully decorated apart from the ugly plasma tv which jarred with... More

I've stayed in Bangkok a number of times and Baan Dinso is without question the best! The staff are impeccably genial and i'd book again tomorrow in an instant! The hostel is near to '7-eleven-heaven'...I love the pot noodle!, beer, crisps + Thai vicks sniffer! The complimentary fruit bowl, great breakfast, free wi-fi, decent tv, free mineral water...and the little... More

Choose this from the photos of the place, and its location near Khaosan Road - and booked it from the website www.baandinso.com. After arriving at the airport we finally found it 50 minutes later, after the taxi driver made several phone calls to the place, since I forgot to print out the map off the website. It was down a... This summer I traveled all over South East Asia for over a month and this was, hands down, the best place I stayed at. The best hostel, I've ever stayed at, ever. Yes, it is not a ten dollar a night hostel which backpackers might be looking for but the small bump in price is so worth it! From the... More

This is a really lovely place to stay in Bangkok. It's very central, but at the same time it is in a lovely, quiet residential area that makes you feel like you're miles from the centre of the city. The hostel, an old wooden building, is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms was tastefully furnished (apart from an ugly and ill-fitting... More

The Baan Dinso is a hostel in the Pranakom district of Bangkok. Do not be fooled by "hostel", as it was a wonderful experience from the time I walked in the door and spoke with the owner, who gladly told me of all the gorgeous antiques bought for pennies at the famous JJ weekend market, until the time I left.... Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Welcome to Baan Dinso: Bangkok's beige beauty! 10-minute walk from Khao San Road, Baan Dinso invites guests with beige walls, original copper fittings and endearingly creaky teakwood floors fill this dainty former nobleman's house, the nine rooms with cable TV, snug beds and floral curtains.
