Was there for a three day visit. Stayed there more than twenty years but feel the hotel's decoration and facility are still modern and updated. Good wifi, good Fnb and very good efficient overall service. Location is also perfect. My last visit to the same area in taipei was a few months ago when I stayed with the Mandarin Oriental...

We stayed here for three days while visiting family in Taipei and Taichung. Fairly convenient location for our purposes but probably not ideal for tourists. Subway is a bit away. Good restaurants down the alley right next to the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. FF&E was slightly outdated but was once of decent quality. Spacious room with nice...

Once you get into the hotel, it is excellent. From check-in to the room, bed, toiletries and overall service quality right to check-out, there is absolutely no blemish whatsoever. Therefore indeed a 5 rating, not surprisingly. What therefore is the "but"? Well, it's the location. Quite far away from the shopping, food and nightlife districts. Perfect for a business hotel,...

Lovely, elegant hotel with a huge breakfast buffet. Taiwan seems to have the tradition of large varied buffets. Lots of choice, something for everyone. Staff is very friendly and helpful. short taxi ride to the night market.

Stayed here on a business trip in November for three nights. First night was terrible because the room was on the 5th floor, lowest level for rooms. The very busy street, busy also during the night is just some meters away. Although I used earplugs I heard honking and engines the whole night through. Next day I changed the room...

The room is spacious and clean. Staffs are polite and friendly. The executive lounge for the hotel residents is the plus point. it is also near to the MRT station which is quite convenient as well. The breakfast at B1 is good but will easily get bored because the selections are same everyday. Hopefully can offer more local foods. All...

My travels usually take me to TPE and this hotel have consistently provided excellent service. During my last visit, I arrived in bad shape due to an injury and the staff went out of their way to be helpful by providing special meals and a quiet room. The young guy at check in was excellent and he was definitely a...

I have stayed for two nights in November 2016. My first impression of the the room is that it is huge with adequate lighting through out. The bed was comfortable and big. The staffs are polite and helpful. The only downside (or upside rather) is that it isn't near to a metro and the area is quiet.

I moved from the considerably more expensive Westin to The Sherwood Taipei. I much prefer The Sherwood Taipei. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Wi-fi is free. The staff is both friendly and helpful. It is a welcoming place to stay. There is a small heated pool--too short for lap swimming unfortunately, but nice if you have kids or...

This hotel is one of my favorites overseas. It is not too fancy, yet just comfortable enough to feel luxurious. The rooms are large, very clean, the linens and bed are wonderful, the sheets cotton, no trace of synthetics. The overstuffed chair is very comfortable. The bathrooms had a large shower and a separate tub, for those who prefer a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In 1990, when we first started offering world-class hospitality to those visiting our city, there were very few globally recognized 5-star hotels in Taipei. The Sherwood has now become the top-choice in Taipei for renowned political and business figures from across the world. From the day the hotel was established in 1990 it has been a tradition that we welcome our guests as if they were family. The moment you step into The Sherwood, you will be warmly greeted by the smiling faces of our receptionists and you receive a personal room key that makes you feel right at home. The guestrooms are sensibly separated from the restaurants and other public areas by room guest elevators and your are ensured a tranquil, safe and comfortable stay. The Sherwood is the only Taiwanese member of the Leading Hotels of the World, and we have been featured in international travel magazines such as Travel & Leisure, Business Traveler, Asia Money and Review Asia. Our art collection, which is a tasteful fusion of Western and Chinese elements, evokes feelings similar to those gained when browsing through a gallery of the world’s masterpieces. We offer luxury treatment at The Sherwood Spa on the 20th floor and free hotel-wide Wi-Fi access in addition to access to our complimentary Executive Business Center, gym and warm indoor pool. The Sherwood is located in the Taipei financial center and shopping hub, near the unique and artistic Minsheng Community and just a ten-minute drive from Songshan Airport. The hotel is within easy access of the city via the MRT Wenhu Line or the highway system that will take you to sights all across the island. We promise to keep you in touch with the world as well as connect you to every part of the island via the extensive Taiwan transportation network. The Sherwood Taipei: Your Taste ... more   less
