I was in the Hotel Buttercup for 2 nights in Pokhara Street No 7...The Hotel seems amazing good to stay with homely atmosphere. The owner of the hotel was very helpful in making my sightseeing tour as I had gone self driving from Kalimpong (India)no idea of sightseeing points..My visit to Pokhara was made awesome by the owner Mr.Laxman Dhakal..

We, a group of three families visited Pokhara in the last week. We booked this hotel as the feedback of the hotel was good.
But after my stay here for 2 nights, we really wonder how so many people liked this hotel. We really can't write all the points that we didn't like as the list will be too long. But trying to write a few -
1> In two of the rooms, the bathrooms were too small, the door didn't open fully as the bathroom basin was right behind. An adult person can't sit on the commode comfortably as the wall in front is too close to the commode.
2> Rooms are small. There were stains on the bed cover.
3> The picture quality of the TV was very very poor.
4> During our stay for 2 days, no one came to clean up the rooms, change the towels/bed-pillow covers or clean the bins.
5> There was no power supply in one of the rooms at one night. When asked, they said that room has some problems during the power cut. We didn't have light/fan in that room for the entire night.
6> Bathroom doors couldn't be locked in all the three rooms.
7> The hotel staffs were not very cooperating and friendly. We had to leave at 7 AM and we requested them to pack our breakfast. They completely denied and mentioned that they can provide only after 7 AM. In the next morning, however they gave us some breads and boiled eggs at around 7 AM. There was no one to say us good bye when we left the hotel. Also there was no welcome note when we checked in. I haven't seen this ever before.
The location is good and price is reasonable. But next time I won't rethink to spend little more and book a better hotel.

Dear Bhaskar S, Thank you for your time to write a review about us. We are sorry that you had a bad experinece and lots of complain. Please to inform you that we are not a star hotel that we can fullfill your all desire as you have paid, yes of course we are one of the budget hotel so thinks to be noted what we had services and facilites before check-in, which is clearly metion on our booking sites. I would like to inform you that we do have different type of rooms and price, and can choose as per your budget, but it was your choice. For the room service must to inform on reception and should leave the keys of your room when you go outside. About the power cut there is always backup power supply(bulbs) on each room doesn't mean all the electronics equipment operate, which we had already inform you at the same night. We do operate breakfast from 7;00-9:00 am, instead of that your early check out we try to serve our best what we had. We will keep on doing the best things that satisfy our guests. We have now been chilling out in Pokhara for six days. Bishnu and his staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable, airy and super clean. The price is excellent for its central location. We are going hiking tomorrow for a few days but we will definitely be coming back to chill out at Buttercup once we come back. Everything you need is close by ... coffee, food, shopping! We would certainly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.

Thanks to Bishnu and his great staff we had an excellent stay here in Pokhara. The friendly and warm atmosphere at the hotel created a home away from home. We planned to stay for only one night and ended up staying six! The location is great, just off the main strip which allows for quiet nights but is still only a short walk to the main strip on Lakeside.
Despite the fuel shortage while we were here in Nepal we received free pick up and drop off at the bus station. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and the bathroom had hot water. We organized with the hotel, breakfast and coffee every morning. We stayed during the festival Deepavali. The staff at the hotel made sure to include us in the festivities. We had singers and dancers outside of the hotel each night, participated in a tika ceremony and shared a traditional meal. We really felt apart of the activities. The generosity of the hotel staff and there effort to include us was wonderful.
Highly recommend the hotel for you to have an enjoyable stay in Pohkara.

Very nice and friendly hotel. Located in the centre of touristic life. During our trekking they kept our casual clothes. Helped with the taxi and transfer to Kathmandu. When we came back after our trekking without any booked, found a room. Highly recommend

Do not stay in this hotel until and unless you have a budget constraint. Pay little more and you will get some better hotels nearby. I simply booked this as the feedback was good and price was not high, but now I repent.
