We visited Pokhara just to stay in The Farm, it was as we expected it to be and even more. from the location to the people to our breakfast and most importantly the kind staffs everything was just gorgeous. Save the best for the last our room/ Villa was the charm, we witnessed the beautiful mountains and the sunset from our own little outdoor deck.
Beautiful place, truly magical and quiet peaceful Staff is amazing hard working and kind, food is really good, the pool and views around are very relaxing. Highly recommend this place Thank you to Raji, Nashma and especially sweet Dexie, her presence put a smile on our faces every day ♥️
Admittedly the hotel is a little away from the rest of Pokhara but what it gets you is a superbly peaceful and serene valley with almost no intrusion and lots of bird life around... The hotel emulates sustainable living and our 3 day stay here was very wholesome and just what we needed... The hotel also offers to plan activities for you based on your level of engagement with the city. We had a memorable stay and look forward to returning soon... Thank you Douglas, Dependra, Biswas, Nishma, Sagar and the rest of the team for a superb introduction to Pokhara
Upon arrival the road to get to the property was closed due to works. Not the hotel's fault of course but you don't need to be rocket scientist to either let the guest know in advance so that the solution to get there can be explained or pick up the phone instead of leaving the guests (and their driver) clueless for hours until you decide to actually let them know how to get there. Once there the room was amazing, very spacious and welcoming. Shame it wasn't made up though, would have expected that for the price paid. Restaurant was a mixed bag - service was friendly but slow all the times and food was either very good or bland at most. I would be back but would appreciate the management to be more careful about small details that can make a big difference.
Very disappointed that the hotel didn’t meet our expectations. Dirty bed linen, no lights in the shower, loose socket, damp smell, poor communication and unwilling to help were few to mention. Beautiful concept of being eco friendly hotel with very poor service and maintenance. Absolutely shocked with how unwelcoming vibe was displayed. I requested to organise a hotel transportation for a drop off and that too was rejected. It almost felt like they pick and choose. Very disappointing sadly !!!!
We stayed for one night in this fabulous hotel where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of lush greens and the relaxing atmosphere. Food was great, staff were fantastic and the little farm was excellent to entertain our kids during the day.
We've just returned from 4-nights in The Farm (The Pavilions) and it's a solid thumbs up and 4 out of 5 stars from my family and I. Travelling with our 10 and 7 year old this was a very welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu (where we're currently living). We were welcomed by Rajiv and his team with fresh lemongrass soda and ushered in to the lovely ambiance of the main dining area. We used The Farm as our base to explore Pokhara with trips up to Chamere Gufa (bat cave), Lakeside, a hike up to the World Peace Pagoda and back to The Farm. The staff were very warm and attentive, particularly to our two girls (special thanks to Nishma - dherai dhanyabad, Nishma Gurung). The food was extremely tasty and we didn't have a single bad experience. I've awarded it 4.5 out of 5 stars as the site would benefit from a touch more maintenance, e.g. the wooden decking on our veranda. Also, upon arrival describing to guests the rhythm of meal times, house-keeping and site amenities would smooth over the very minor wrinkles we experienced. Overall though, we had a refreshing and very enjoyable stay. Douglas and his family have created a model which, in my opinion, should be repeated wherever possible. The sustainable, eco-friendly, local community focussed ethos is commendable. Dherai dhanyabad, sathi's. Kerry, Sarah, Isla and Sanna - Hertfordshire, England.…
At first, I wanted to give it 4 of 5, but after hearing the story, you want to give it so much more than just 5. After arriving, we got to the bigger hut with the huge window-front. The view over the valley landscape is marvelous. I was only afraid about the temperature of the room (February - that’s why the 4), but in the evening after telling the staff they lit a fire in the open fireplace next to the sofa. Very nice. The main facility and the small infinity pool area are very well-designed. The interior is marvelous, the yoga room with the view and the surroundings (go for a walk up the valley) so enjoyable. We then got explained that the resort is super sustainable: Energy collected through solar, rain water filtered for the huts and reused in different steps, the farm around is providing natural gas and most of the ingredients for the outstanding food. The breakfast, oh my, that was soooo good. We then met Douglas, the owner, and he told us that most of the people working there had a challenging past and that most of the money from the resort (if not in corona times) goes to his charity supporting children in Nepal and the local surroundings. I really like the idea of combining luxury with sustainability and doing good - this place, Douglas, his team (Deependra, Mishma, Biswas, Rajiv and all the others) and the charities are a real inspiration. -Patrick- PS: There seems to be a mix-up here in Tripadvisor - Most of the reviews are for 'The Pavilions Himalayas The farm' - 'The Pavilions Himalayas Lake View' is another place which seems to be smaller (that I did not visit).…
The worst of the worst I have ever visited. Only if i could upload the video of the food that was served and the way the staff treated I could define the horror of staying here. We wanted to leave but the only option was boat, when requested, a junior staff said you leave however you want to, no hotel service will be provided. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
The food was pathetic. Dripping in oil. When told the same, i was told that if you like it have it or leave. Guards along with the whole management is pathetic. Ambica manager of the property was very rude and Sagar engineer along with junior staff were using foul words. Rajiv GM did not receive a single call even after calling for 3 hours some 50 calls. However he was on talks with the property manager. I think this property should be shut.
