Our family-owned guesthouse sits on a hillside in a typical Nepalese village with panoramic views of the Annapurna Range, both Begnas and Rupa Lakes, as well as the surrounding lush green forest and countryside. Our guesthouse is situated on the outskirts of our small yet lively village and is one of the longest-running in Begnas. From our peaceful mountainside perch, you can enjoy the rhythm of village life from a comfortable distance or immerse yourself in Nepali culture by taking a pleasant stroll along the village path. Nature walks, boating, hiking, swimming, and fishing activities can all be done within the surrounding property. Dinesh's House is an ideal place to recharge in a quiet homestay environment with authentic Nepali hospitality, relaxation and spectacular views.

Excellent location, super friendly host Dinesh and his family. Simple rooms but with all you need and clean bathroom with hot shower. WiFi if you want! Had dinner each night with Dinesh which was lovely. Would highly recommend. We stayed for 2 nights, easy to do an overnight trip from Pokhara on the local buses.

We stumbled across Dinesh house whilst looking for somewhere to stay in Begnas Tal after searching for a while! Dineshs' family was very friendly and smiley, always offering tea at just the right time. Dinesh ate dinner with us as well, sharing stories about the earthquake from 2015. Would highly recommend.

The 24x7 view of the Annapurna range from the super clean rooms, garden and terrace was mesmerising. Dinesh and his family were so helpful and friendly. The food was cooked from fresh vegetables, mostly sourced from their own garden. The Dal Bhat and Coffee (prepared from freshly grown coffee beans, roasted and grinded by Dinesh himself) are something from the menu everybody should try for once. Would also like to mention the taste of organic honey freshly collected from bee hives cultured by Dinesh himself at his property. The most beautiful part of the homestay is that the location is extremely peaceful surrounded by the Annapurna mountain range, Begnas lake and Rupa Lake around the property. The place is also super safe with spotless rooms which won't really require you to lock your rooms at any point of time. Amenities include 24 hours Hot Shower dependant on the solar panels installed near the tank, free 24X7 wi fi and boiling water on request. Would like to come back again and recommend to my friends, family and colleagues.

Myself and my partner stayed at Dinesh house for three nights before attending a 10 day silent retreat at Dhamma Pokhara Vipassana Meditation Centre (only 5 minutes walk away) and we loved it so much that we returned for a further 4 nights. If what you are looking for is a bit of distance from the bustle of Pokhara and a place to gather your thoughts, then it genuinely is as good as the pictures and reviews make out. We slept in one of the original guest rooms with a shared outdoor bathroom, it's very basic but we loved it (there are newer more modern rooms available too). Our room had electric lighting, a place for charginging devices, wifi (dependant on the occasional powercut) and some of the best window views possible. But whatever way you look at it, the rooms are not what makes Dinesh's great; on a clear day the views are breath-taking and almost too picture perfect to be real; despite being popular and long-established (they've had guests since the 1970's) it still feels like a hidden gem; the cacophany of colour and wildlife that is the garden; the home-grown and processed coffee and honey; the Dhal Bhat, sweet Nepali tea and stories shared with other guest in a candlelit dinner; and best of all your hosts themselves. Dinesh and his family are kind, honest, humble and hard-working and they do everything they can to accomodate their guests. Getting to know them was a real privilege. In short, Dinesh's house does the simple things in life really well and if you get the chance to stay there, do.

Room Tip: Original rooms-what you sacrafice in modernity is made up with the best views. Newer rooms-more...

This was my second stay in Dinesh’s house. First time was in April 2018 and now I returned for three nights. Have to say it was like returning home. It is rare to find such splendid views, and hospitality....I am already planning to return again. Dinesh and Dipa keep their guest rooms spotlessly clean and compared to so many other guesthouses the interiors are simple, but tasteful. The garden itself is a piece of eden and the family grows their own organic vegetables. And with the backdrop of Annapurna Himalaya views, begnas lake, distant village sounds, crickets singing, a cup of Dinesh own homegrown coffee - It doesn’t get better than this! You can enjoy hikes and short walks in the area, go for boating on the lake, and there is a yoga place almost next door. The best home stay in this area!
