The Shangri-La Village is located on the outskirts of Pokhara town. As noted in other reviews, it is not part of the high end Shangrila hotel groupl The pool is lovely, the rooms comfortable and the buffet and a la carte menu good without being great. The staff were nice and when the conditions permit, you can see part of...

Pathetic hotel. Keeps getting worse every time. DO NOT STAY HERE! 1. The ac does not work at night : This has been a known problem for several years and they have done nothing to fix it. 2. Room service sucks A@#: We placed order for room service at 7pm. We get the food at 9:30pm. Apparently they had forgotten...

This year in October I have been to Pokhara with my family. We stayed in Shangri-La, and it's just awesome. The overall resort area is huge and full of greenery. They provide a delicious breakfast with a lot of variety. Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. The view of Himalaya is just awesome. The swimming pool is also very...

This is a very nice property, spacious, well-kept grounds and clean, if somewhat in need of updating, rooms. The dining room is lovely and you have your choice of sitting inside or on an attractive terrace. While the food is nothing to rave about, it was O.K. There is a large pool, also clean and very inviting, and I jumped...

Hotels interior and sorrounding is very good. Apart from fooding there is nothing bad I can say about this resort. Foods not on mark.

Pokhara is a gem in Nepal:lake, shopping, restaurants, trekking, and natural beauty! I drove from Kathmandu: it is a six hour drive with scenic beauty and scores of potholes! Others may wish to fly! This property needs serious maintenance: it's stars have ffaded: old rattan furniture, 50's television, straw-filled mattress, bathroom with Low-budget towels and shower amenities. The breakfast menu...

I was Stuck on these review pages for weeks trying to decide which hotel to go to and how accurate the pictures of the rooms were! I loved this place because it was quiet, surrounded by nature, had a huge lawn/garden and on a clear day you can see the Annapurna ranges (the famous ice capped moutain). I was looking...

Guys, this is not the original shangrila chain hotel...they have just kept the name Shangrila with no matches to the original which exists worldwide. We had booked it for 5 nights and stayed only for 1 night and changed our hotel the very next day.. Terrible experience. Very far from the real pokhra city. Roads outside the hotel are broken...
