Amazing place for some quite and quality time. I loved the sanitization of the place and the staffs were so friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to have a relaxed time with the family and even friends away from the regular hustle bustle of Pokhara. But if you need that city life, lakeside is just 7 mins drive from the place. We were there for three nights and I would definitely go back because of the hospitality we got from the place. Do enjoy their natural ponds with fishes, yoga place, walk on the grass barefoot early in the morning and read a book near the poolside after a good spa. Also, the birds early in the morning were spectacular site. Always a good place to go back, definitely recommend anyone who is skeptical about travel during the COVID19.
The first thing to note is that this is NOT the international chain of Shanghai-la Hotels. I don’t know how they have the name and same logos. Anyway, the hotel is nice. Rooms are a straight 4 star and the sprawling grounds and garden are 5 star. Breakfast is also a solid 4 star level with an omelette station. All the employees were so friendly. The only negative may be that the location is about 10 minutes by car to the center of the town where the action is. That also could be a plus if you want peace and quiet. They held our luggage for 4 days while we went trekking. Can’t go wrong and reasonable priced. Howard S.
It was our first visit in Pokhara and we chose Shangrila Village resort to stay. It was my husband's birthday, so i had few surprises in mind. The entire staff especially Araj made everything so easy and possible. They decorated our room, arranged a cake, special breakfast setting- everything was done so seamlessly. Araj was always responsive even after his working hours which means a lot. The location is breathtaking with full view of Annapurna range. Kudos to the staff and the hospitality. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and made our stay feel like home. The shuttle service made it really easy to commute to the lakeside n back. The spa services are also commendable. Thank you Shangrila & Araj for taking prime care of us and making our stay so memorable. We would definitely visit there again :)…
I stayed at Shangrila for 4 nights in total- before and after my trek from Pokhara. What an absolutely gorgeous property it is! Superb comfort, great food (highly recommend their jhinga masala), and simply brilliant hospitality from the ever smiling staff! The pancakes in the breakfast buffet were my favourite. We didn’t get time to enjoy the pool but we did have a great stay at a time when all we were looking for was a nice place to relax after the strenuous trek.
I took many groups in that hotel .it is the best hotel in pokhara for everything excellent services. The best views of mountains like as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manasulu range.it is 2.5 kilometres from the Lakeside .
This property is located away from the lakeside in a peaceful village side area where the locals live and engage in farming. It's a spacious resort with huge garden area and very comfortable rooms. Most of the rooms give views of the Annapurna ranges. They have different areas for dining - indoor, outdoor, bar, and a private outdoor area with low sitting. The staff is very helpful and provide with good information and services. They have regular free shuttles to the lakeside. I had very comfortable stay at this resort before and after my trek to Annapurna Base camp.
Sooo many flowers and plants with a water body running through and a swing. Now that sounds like Shangri La, no? 😊 This was my fav property in the whole Nepal. The staff was friendly, rooms were cozy and food was delicate. The live music in the evenings was so relaxing. Full marks to this property!
I stayed in this property twice and loved my stay both the time here. What clicked me for this property is the amazing vibes that it carries. You instantly feel so relaxed here. So much thag ditched my pokhara plan once and decided to just lay back here. Amazing staff. Great hospitality. Loved it !
I have stayed at the Shangri-La several times over the years, and always enjoy it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is very convenient, and the facilities are excellent. As well as being a quiet and relaxing place for grown-ups, it is an enclosed space which is safe for children. The food is very good. I most strongly recommend it.
My mom & I chose to stay here for 3 nights back in September 2019 and must say we had a top- notch experience! The staff are so Inviting and hospitable especially Sangam and Bikram from front office utterly made us feel at home. The room comes with a lovely balcony and the morning view from the balcony is inexpressibly pleasing. We enjoyed the well spread breakfast buffet by the pool throughout with assorted choices.A band playing traditional Nepali folk instruments will always be there to lighten up your evenings. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and honestly didn’t wanna leave. If I am back in Pokhara, this is where I’ll stay without question.
